Darling
Sitting silently, Madly in love and consumed entirely, My eyes never stray from the remarkable queen Who tames me sweetly (God, she dismantles me completely)
Her perfect mouth opens to speak (so tantalizing, my body flushes with a vibrant heat) And with my conquered heart in my hands, Heavy and hers to keep, I kneel before her and lovingly repeat-
“I am yours, my dear, and you are mine.”
And even with smoke in my lungs, And a storm in my mind, Even when my blood runs cold And my heartbeat is shy-
Darling, it’s the patience in your eyes That measures my time.
Intertwined
The day ends And our bed becomes A warm home
Darling, the gentle fall of your Hair on my shoulders Feels like a beautiful poem.
Your arms wrap tight around me And upon closing my eyes I feel the rush of something amazing (I’m surging with the feeling of being alive)
A subtle turn towards you Brings me closer to your delicate soul And as I watch your eyes flutter with a dream, My broken pieces heal and become whole.
Your brilliant body was made For my hands to explore Tracing the length of your spine, When we lie together this close-
I confuse your pulse with mine.
I know
I know you want me, To be near as you fall asleep. To wrap my arms around you, While you dream such sweet things. However I, Have had a long week. Mingling, working, and feeling stressed (Depressed) Over whats going on. So it's friday night, And im extending the hours. Drinking til I pass out, I'm just removing myself. But i can't even express, How much i need you by my side. So trust me when I say, I have never loved watching a girl Fall asleep on a couch Until i turned and looked at you.
Everyone has bad nights
My sadness lengthens the hours, Until you are back to hold close- And be left again. This tight hot anger of yours Grabs hold of my aching bones, My aging soul- And I'm so sorry. But I never seem To understand Where you're going, Or where you're coming from.
No me dejes
Agnes strix. Vampiress. The imaginary. Best friend. Guardian. Defense mechanism. You've been called by a lot of things over these years haven't you? Yet still always the same. Your blonde hair, that house With all it's doors locked to me. I can reach out and count the freckles on your face. Amazed still that I'm the only one who can see you, With your steely blue eyes. So cold and yet so full of that fiery bravado. I've never understood the paisley dresses you wear. Exemplify, I try. And if you are still here when I do part, I'll finally understand- Why you've always called me, "dear heart."
Esperanza
There is this distance... that gets created (between you and I). I don't know what it is called... (Oh, what it is called?!) But this distance, let me tell you- It opens up my shoulders, you see. Just a few fine slices straight down (exposing my spine) Where your love (however cold it can be.) touches me (soothes me) roughs me up, (and hurts me). This distance, baby- it creates in-itself a pressure point on each one of my vertibre.
As She Lay Asking Me One Night Part I
She laid me down and closed my eyes "Tell me." She whispered as she breathed in my lies.
She ached as I writhed "Tell me what you believe in." As she touched me, limbs tight.
"Show me what makes your heart beat so fast at night."
As She Lay Asking Me One Night Part II
Closer and closer to my state of bliss I move myself against her eager for her kiss.
"Do you really want to know?" I ask as her hair falls down in my face, as her breathing slows.
She watches me softly, pressing herself between my thighs, and I spoke to her calmly as I dropped my disguise.
"I pray to the dirt. Where from it grows the things that I love.
And when no one is watching, I push the sun into my face and roses are all I think of."
To be, being (that which we are)
This is a brand new poem, I'm finally starting to be able to write again. It is by far not my best, but it makes me...so incredibly happy..It's hard to explain...but well, it kind of feels like falling in love. Writing poetry to me feeling like I'm falling in love, making love, understanding love. Anyways, sorry for this intro, just felt like commenting before I present pretty raw work.
To be, being that we are (all) at our most infinite cores- remarkably beautiful.
(I cannot help but light up)
And she, her (I do not know her) But I heard that poetry writes itself in the trail of her veins, in the wild thumps of her heart. (the steady breathing of her lungs)
And to read (essential bliss) the couplets within her skin and bones, would then excite the occurrence of (a most transcendent) clarity.
Wherein sadness and pleasure make love and join as one and briefly, understanding takes place.
(I cannot help but shut down)
For in her entirety, (deep, deep within her prose) she reflects...
To be, being that we are (all) at our most infinite cores- remarkably damaged.
Small Scribbles From My Small Hands
Whispers as faint as the wind blushing our bodies making us- secret.
Bare necks and racing hearts reaching out for, anxious for, your touch.
Hands sliding and mouths gasping we press tighter, hold on longer she craves that final release.
Touches and glances smoothing across rolling tongues on pale, sweet bodies leaving my mark, labeling you, mine.
Lips move softly against bare shoulders and love is made in the pressing of palms we are- almost.
Hair brushes against soft skin like the fall of words upon closed lips.
I Hope This Makes Me Notice
real poetry is ugly isn't it? Well, call me ugly- because I'm feeling just a little bit too real right now.
The entirely beautiful? Forgive my laugh, but I hasten to say- the entirely pitiful, is a much closer saying or phrase.
Now, take this incident for instance- and give no credibility to forgiveness. I think what we will find, is a sad, small person- looking in all the wrong places, for lessons on how to be kind.
Attempted, sure. But concrete effort was laughable almost as if she's unshapeable, inmaliable. "Now shake it off, shake it off." She says. And I'm sure that's much harder to do with the word, "TROUBLE" hanging over your head.
It's escape-able though. Incredible. In other words, she can let it go. And if the price of reality is ugly, then call her ugly, because she's starting to feel entirely too real right now.
If Only I Had Been Wise
These are the days of all days (our secret obsessions) I am coming out to play (Im hiding, getting out of this recession)
I am the fool of all fools (I couldn't stop looking the other way) you might think me a little cruel, (It's sad, because I have nothing to say)
So here's were you lie, and here's where I sit (I can't stop staring, can't stop swearing) this is getting too much, I'de prefer a nice drip (a pain killer, or something just to make it easier to show that it's really me caring.)
Say, did you know you were the better part of me? (my other half, my greatest extension) But what do you say to an idiot, to correct their stupidity? (God there is so much anger here, so much tension.)
I guess we just keep walking, keep taking those steps, (to get away from the facts that we'd rather forget) I don't know how to show you, how to express my regret. (but I just want to hold you, to take away all the threat.)
No Morning is Good Without You
a sleeping form of early perfection- she lies, with my flowers by her honey head.
dreaming of gardens, and wind. pressures- imaginary; she is the focus (of my life)
A shuffling of feet, going a little down the street, does something for the soul. All things shifting aside, I mean it calms you down.
glass on glass on glass (and a wee bit of smoke) takes the pain away, throbbing through my skull. (The primary place.)
every ten seconds produces a quick look to my right, "my sleeping beloved" oh, how I've caused such water to spill upon your autumn banks.
Soothing, uninterrupted- calm. A sense of knowing (and believing) has clouded around me, has made the sun easy.
I love to know, love the feeling i get, (when that flutter occurs) and there's that moment (of most perfect silence) I think to myself solemly, slow- "I love to watch her sleep."
The Solo Recital
And in the singing nave of a church, I find my heart bursting in autumn splendor, autumn eyes, the high voice of love.
And to repeat, I swear: my eyes have yet to find a face, a body, a voice, a laugh- more beautiful, more perfect, then the woman I write for.
And if she were to sing her songs to me, I would delight for hours, my time in listening.
Until deep, satisfaction is met within her, surrounding her, placing securely- her.
I listen, contentment settling, writing my verses for her mouth to move to, in the singing nave of a church- my heart.
My Own, My Sweet
And through a perfect plum of smoke I see you, my blossoming, ever-turning world of (illuminating) perfection. I see you well, and I turn to you always.
My darling, my someone do you know yourself well? Or do you trust the unseen? For I swear as night is black and day is day, no matter the star; You shine ever more brighter.
And though you are gone, and are are back. I continue to put my (wilted) trust in the pressure of flowers growing, blooming.
And though difficult storms arrive, out of the banks of autumn eyes; I pull myself together, I try to shine them away.
Autumn eyes, I am yours; How many times must I say it? For swear I never saw a beauty so deep, then the closing of your eyes, and the calming of your breath whilst you sleep.
A Releasing of Butterflies
Hushed breaths with little yellow nervous giggles of, oh, I told you so- so here we go, round the corner and through that door.
Thud and moan, and gasp and groan and when back hits pavement, nerves break loose.
Constant, unimaginative pleasure, ah that's me and you- "I can't stop kissing you" I can't stop needing you.
Baby for now, my sweetie you'll always be we slam down in the backseat of my car Autumn eyes, I'm yours.
Making love, Transpires to an opening of the chest, a spreading of, the fluttering of, the reverberating, pounding noise of- my heartbeat, against your shoulder, and my breath in your ear.
