Donatello is trapped and alone, with a bomb about to go off behind him. He knows he won't make it out, and says his final goodbyes to his brothers, who are arguably the best parts of his life. That is, until Raphael decides to call him stupid. Now he has to get out, if only to punch Raphael in the face for being such a jerk in his final moments. OR: Donnie is SPITEFUL and Raph fully knows how to manipulate his brother into saving his own life.

I sadly only had time for one drawing for the space themed @weeklymagmas this weekend

Okay, so we didn't really get many details about how the SAINW future came to be, right? Just that Donatello disappeared thirty years before and things went to hell some undefined amount of time after. But we don't get a date for that future, so it could be thirty years from pretty much any point where Donny looks roughly like he did in that point. (And there's plenty of wiggle room even with that much. I sure as hell don't remember exactly what my sibling looked like thirty years ago.)

Aaanyway, my point is: Season 1, episode 16: "The King". Donny goes down to April's basement to check the hot water heater and has an ENTIRE-ASS ADVENTURE WHERE HE TRAVELS TO SOME WEIRD MONSTER DIMENSION THAT KIRBY DREW. Then he barely gets back through the portal before it closes behind him. With the portal closed and Kirby on the other side with his magic gem-powered pencil, there's no sign of what happened.

So what if the SAINW future is an alternate universe where one day Donny went to April's basement to look at the water heater and just never came back up? He and April's tenant just up and disappeared one day, never to be seen again until thirty years later.

It's been a couple months since I saw either episode. Am I talking out my ass here?

Hm...I might have an AU-gust idea... I've been playing pretty fast and loose with the prompts so far, no reason to stop now.

I wish the 2012 Turtles got the chance to physically grow taller like the 2003 Turtles did in their last seasons. Especially if it was Donatello who got another growth spurt because I’d love for him to grow to be about Master Splinter's height (or taller).

In part because I could see Donatello feeling the least “like” his father, making him the “outlier” in his own family. So having him grow to be the most like Splinter physically after Splinter’s death would be like a double gut punch. Firstly, because it would be undeniable proof that he is in fact, Splinter’s son. Secondly, because now Donnie has to live with the fact that his own father never got to live long enough to see him achieve this milestone.

I’m obsessed with post-Owari Leo so much.

Leo coming off of having just killed Shredder and demanding that Donnie cannot kill Vizioso. Leo, who used to be a proponent of mercy, consistently immediately going for lethal blows against their enemies for all of s5, even though it doesn’t end up working out (ie Kavaxas, the Mummy). Leo disassociating when the others look to him for a plan. Leo spending all his time in the dojo and it’s unclear whether he’s talking to the spirit of Splinter or if he’s starting to hallucinate. Leo, who shattered his swords against Kavaxas’ skin, and without Splinter is forced to constantly use Splinter’s swords, the ones that he took a life with.

Just. Post-Owari Leo who very obviously has something seriously wrong going on, but we don’t have the bandwidth to address it anymore.

TMNT Leonardo. I finally finished the last of the four. I wish I had more time to draw. TMNT is one of those old franchises that's a pleasure to spend hours drawing.
