Made some progress with the painting. I finished two shades of brown 🙌 Now just 74 more.

I feel like it doesn’t look like much has changed. It still took a while because a lot of them were so teeny tiny I was almost going cross-eyed. It didn’t help that the light wasn’t bright enough so my eyes had to strain more. I had to shine a torch so I could see what I was doing, and that wasn’t very fun.

My flatmate asked me how my painting was doing. I told her that I had to stop for a bit because I’m only alive at night but also my night vision isn’t good enough to work in dim lighting. She was kind enough to lend me her lamp that she wasn’t using. And now I can resume painting.

I completed the rest of the black tonight! Wooo! 🥳 It made up about 2/3 of the bottom part. I feel like I was just fucking around most of the time, I painted over the lines so many times haha. Fortunately, I got my trusty white paint marker to hide all of my mistakes, so it was all good.

It didn't seem like much when I decided to stop for the night because I guess I was just focusing on what I had finished. But looking at the photos now, wow, I painted over such a huge space.

I feel really accomplished even though I didn't really do much during the day. Oops. But that's how it usually is anyway. I'm always more awake at night

We went to uni to grab lunch since my friend got an email from a club that serves vegan food for cheap, saying that they were opening a stall at the uni commons. It used to be $5 a plate, and they’d ask you if you wanted more. They even allowed seconds. But you know, inflation is a thing. And it became popular because it was so good and cheap.

Regardless, everything was delicious. We got the combo meal, which included rice, curry of the day (it was chili for that day), kofta balls which are deep fried balls of some type of cheese, I think, and a bunch of veggies; and carrot salad with sunflower dressing. I love that dressing, holy shit. I can put that on anything and make food taste better. They also give you a scoop of halava, a type of dessert that’s made of semolina and um, I guess whatever flavour you want it to be. That day, it was chocolate and berries. They put custard over it too. Amazing.

And you know my friend wanted to go back and get some for takeaway. So he got me a small tub of kofta because I can’t get enough of that shit, another scoop of halava for him, and a big ass thing of samosa for each of us.

Everything was so good I already was looking for seconds before I was even finished with it. 10/10 would go to uni again, just to get lunch from them. 👌

Made some pretty big progress the other night. I was listening to someone stream while I ate chips and cookies given to me from overseas. They’re very reminiscent of the ones I used to have as a kid, so I very much liked them. I have one more small packet, can’t wait to have it again.

My friend told me about these ube macarons that she absolutely loved the other day, so of course she had to take me to the place yesterday before we went to the mall to buy some goodies. I got strawberry cheesecake, because I feel like you can never go wrong with that, and ube, the one she really wanted me to try.

I know you said Ben & Jerry's strawberry cheesecake is your favourite ice cream (and it is mine too, no joke. My ex used to buy a pint for me whenever he saw it because it's just so hard to find and it makes me sad 😫), and let me tell you, the filling tastes almost exactly like that, but with a bit more tartness, a bit more strawberry flavour. I think you're gonna love it.

And I can never turn down ube anything. I'm so glad the world has finally caught on to the wonders of ube. Seems like they put that shit on everything now. But that one tasted so nutty and creamy, like taro but sweeter, has a vanilla thing going on, and more oomph.

I had just finished eating before having them, though. And with me having eyes that are bigger than my stomach, ate both of them in one go. I'm a monster, Frisbee. I wanted to die. But I was happy. I reckon that would've been a good way to go. Death by macarons.

Hung out and painted with a friend. Hers is a turtle. It has ridiculously small numbers and shapes that she can't help but paint over a bunch of them haha. We had music playing, hummed along to songs we knew. It was a pretty chill time.

She asked me some time ago when we were just chilling and not talking, if I thought it was awkward that it was quiet. I told her no, that I was quite comfortable with silence. I think that made her feel better that she didn't need to try so hard with me. So we just did our thing, talked when we felt like it, content with how everything was.

Today was a great day.

I think I’m getting used to painting on the floor. It’s quite comfortable, pretty easy to rotate and tilt the canvas around to get cleaner lines as well.

I’ve finished the whole tree in black. Still need to fill in the other colours, but it’s good progress since the black takes up most of the tree. Not sure if I should keep going with the rest of the black or if I should do the other colours first. Either way, I’m having a lot of fun with this.

You've been talking about that pistachio latte you like, so I had a scoop of pistachio gelato while I was out. Fucking delicious.

Let me tell you how hard it was to do those angles and thin points. It took me almost three hours to do this whole spot. I had to correct it with marker a few times because I couldn't get some of the angles to be sharp enough, and I went over a few lines. Oops.

It was very relaxing though. I had music on and a plushie to cuddle with while I was on the floor. This took my brain away from a lot of things, letting me focus on the present, which I don't do a lot of the times because I tend to worry about the past and the future a lot.

I'm excited to get to do it again, although I am a bit scared of the little teeny tiny bits that will require better fine motor skills. I quite enjoy those though, gives me a bit of a challenge.

Got it a couple days ago. Super excited to start painting since I've never done this before.

Well, once when I was like, 8 maybe. I didn't know what I was doing and was impatient so I just smushed the paintbrush onto the paper for maximum coverage 👌 Didn't work so well. Destroyed the brush ☹️

This is a pretty big one so it'll take a while. But alguds, its main purpose is to be an outlet to pour all my feelings into, so I don't mind having more to paint.

It's gonna be fuckin epic.
