My first week in 4th semester in STPPH

After a very short and limited holiday (most of my holidays are NOT exactly day “Off”, because I had to rehearse a number for my performance at UPH Grand Chapel and manage some stuff for the Academic Showcase), I am now done with my first week in 4th semester. Some of the lecturers couldn’t come to class, ergo I have some classes cancelled! (Isn’t that the joy of every first week?!) I am really excited about this semester. I get to learn a new foreign language, which is French! I have always loved learning another language actually! The French lecturer is amazing. She teaches very clearly and thoroughly. She also makes sure that EVERY one of us understands. However, I noticed that there are some subjects that are quite difficult, such as Philosophy of Science and Service Management. Apparently I have to study harder than last semester. I hope this semester will be better and my grades can improve!

One of my favourite photo! This was taken after our final test, approximately a month ago. The lecturer's name is Umar Muntoha. He was our Accounting lecturer during our 2nd and 3rd semester. My classmates and I are very grateful to have him as our lecturer!

Sometimes people forget about the Housekeeping department in a hotel. Actually, it’s one of the most important department! Not only to clean all area and room but also to maintain the wellness of hotel property. This video shows me doing a bedspread (had to retake more than once to finally get it right HAHA)

To welcome the new students, STPPH held the annual “ Academic Showcase ”. The centre piece is made from cupcakes and pictures the theme of UPH Festival 2015, which is “Grow Deeper”. All student club such as Gastronomy club, B&P club, and mixologist club have worked hard to make the event happened. So proud of our hotelier team!

At STPPH, we get to learn how to fold guest napkins. The purpose is to make simple guest napkin more attractive to be put on the guest table. It’s very exciting because we can get creative to style many different shapes! This one in particular is called “ Atrium Lily ”. Personally I adore this because it looks beautiful and fancy at the same time. What an art!
