MARIAH CAREY > HONEY (1997) dir. Paul Hunter
Look, I didn’t tell you to die in a brown fart. The truth is, all I’ve wanted is to come back to you. You’re the love of my life. And if we survive this, I want to marry you. And I want to live by the sea… You had me at “brown fart”.
make me choose: King Richard/Roberta or Galavant/Isabella (requested by @willwriteforruns)
like if you stan dad, comment and share if ur alive and well, ignore if u got it twisted :(
“No black woman writer in this culture can write “too much”. Indeed, no woman writer can write “too much”…No woman has ever written enough.”
— from Remembered Rapture: The Writer at Work, by Bell Hooks, born September 9, 1952.
People really don’t realize how harmful it is to turn a celebrity into a symbol like they’re doing with B*yega when they preach “he’s all of us”. Celebrities aren’t martyrs and they’re not a political ideology. As soon as said celebrity disappoints, his actions will be either excused or cancelled. In this case, they’re all excused and this is dangerous.
^^^^
Trying to silence johns voice, a black man, by Reylos? What a surprise! Just say you’re anti-black and go
i am an Indian you moron. Also by your logic that makes you a bigot and anti Asian , misogynist as well considering his track record of supporting Chr*s Brown.
But hey! Pretend you care about racism with that kpop icon😂
you saying you can't be anti black cuz you're Indian. 💀💀💀
Nope thing is JB had not be racist because he is Black, my pointing out my ethnicity was supposed to clear that misconception because clearly everyone here understands this but eh.... Not for him? This obv celebrity stanning gone too far if people are openly Wiling to abuse me as "pincess buddha" and just "using KMT as cover" to shit on why i am saying what i am saying. You guys don't have to agree but..
Lemme explain something to you since you feel bold to talk out the side of your neck. But before I do that let me explain that I am a Black woman who is also a SW fan and has been a fan of reylo since tfa. Now that that’s established I’ll continue you have to understand just because you are Indian does not mean you can’t be prejudiced and racist against black people. Your color doesn’t absolve you from trash to a man who hasn’t done anything outside of run of the mill tone deafness. This isn’t a change of heart for people that support him either. He said that he doesn’t understand racism because people are getting murdered, beat up and mistreated. His stance has jack shit to do with KMT and her bullying or the dumb shit he can say. For one minute take your stan hat off and see that his passion and humanity is not connected to Star Wars or whatever old drama you think. You may not agree with his personal opinions and statements but he deserves to be angry, sad and shouldn’t feel attacked when he does. Maybe you should take a step back and watch or read something, anything about anti blackness before you open your lips to check him for speaking out
The Color Purple (1985):
“ A black Southern woman struggles to find her identity after suffering abuse from her father and others over four decades (IMDb Description).”
Here’s a very bittersweet film that I absolutely love. I’ve watched it on tv, some years ago. I was bored and this was on tv and…I loved it. It’s a very sad movie, but it has some really sweet moments. The characters are either amazing or hateful…which is the point of the movie. This movie has a big focus on racism, so expect to hate some of the characters. If you want to watch a really good drama, then check this one out…Prepare to cry.
I was raised to fight. For the first time I have something to fight for.
A Master and her Apprentice Wouldn’t that be a nice ending?
