...if you thought that the Amazon fires were bad

Hey, I'm from Brazil and just heard about the fires. Is there anything people far from there can do about it? I hope I can help...
Hey there, the best way to help if you live outside of Australia is to raise awareness as much as you can and also donate even just a few dollars to help the victims and firefighters who are risking their lives to save others and their property, as well as affected wildlife. here are a few places you can donate too. Thankyou <3

While NYE celebrations are raging on, Australia is still burning. Yesterday a bushfire broke out near my home ( a largely suburban area - and our government still refuses to do anything to combat climate change) and we were lucky enough that we didn’t have to evacuate, but the same can’t be said for others. These are the worst fire conditions this country has ever seen and I just wanted to share these photos and thank the brave people who have been fire fighting all through the Christmas/new year period.
Here are some photos of the bushfire situation right now here in Australia. There are no filters on these photos, the red colour is from ember storms created by strong winds and immense heat. I hope everyone is staying safe and my prayers and thoughts go out to everyone affected by these horrific blazes, especially the thousands nearby in Mallacoota where it is now too late to leave.
Australia says goodbye to 2019
Up until now I’ve been really lucky to have no active fires close to me, but now I have 3. My whole city is surrounded by bushfires.
Australia is burning, soon there will be nothing left.
I wake up everyday to my city blanketed in smoke, it’s smothering and horrible and I know those who are in active fire areas have it worse but for 2 months every single day I’ve been breathing in bushfire smoke. This cannot be good for me.
Yep - it’s bad. Real bad
Australia may not be part of America, but it’s sure in a state

*red denotes active bushfires. Over 2 million hectares already burnt and 370,000 still on fire in just one of these sections. Summer began less than a month ago.
