cyanotype tests for my recent joint exhibition ‘Still’
Still is opening this Thursday 26th April at 6pm.
It will be a showcase of new works by Liam Gough and myself. Still is a collection of musings and abstract seascapes distilled through our sketches, drawings and notebooks.
I have an exhibition soon
The Riso is a tempermental creature, but that leads to interesting outcomes
Exhibition news coming soon
using toshi washi paper in the riso, the riso swallows the paper because it's so light but it still works
tests continue, things coming soon
I made the silly Simpson's cards again from the Valentines episode when Lisa 'choo-choo chooses' Ralph. This year they are limited edition three colour risoprinted cards. The colour layer was handdrawn and colour separated using the CMYK process. 30% of all proceeds will be donated to the Irish Heart Foundation. ❤ Grab one online here
tests with halftones and transparency
Riso experiments
working on some ideas for some prints
This time last year I decided to bring Ralphs Valentines card to life in screenprint form, and though it worked I printed 8 layers, which took a silly amount of time. So this year, I making them again, but with the lovely riso. This is my first attempt at CMYK riso printing, (which isn't technically CMYK but thats another post) the C and M layers are what you see here, with the Y and K I will hopefully achieve the simpsons look! Sidenote: I didnt just adjust an image of the card, I redrew each layer and set it up in Photoshop, and the riso prints one layer at a time, ya gurl is the real deal
Here's one of my newer prints. You can grab "Suspend" here: http://www.damnfineprint.com/izzy-rose-grange
From a zine I made this year which included things I wrote about home and flowers I collected here, being home for xmas reminded me of it. Had a great year of print making
