During a pandemic, life isn't the same as we know it. The fear and anxiety of getting the virus ushered in a never-before-seen shift. As a result, our mentality, emotions, and actions have all changed massively. These changes have had an impact on my current way of life:
My new normal for me?
Despite the pandemic, I was able to keep in touch with my friends via technology. As a means of connecting with my loved ones, I used social media platforms, video chat, and phone conversations. Also, because of the way I take care of myself, I've become quite careful. For example, I always practice social distancing and keep a distance of around 6 feet between myself and others. I wash my hands with soap and water on a regular basis. When I'm around other people or outside of my residence, I use a face mask or a cloth covering to conceal my mouth and nose. Then I have a class every weekend, which I was initially uncomfortable with, but as time went on, I got used to it and consider it my new normal.
My new normal is to continually get used to the new normal.

You believe that having the right to vote is important, but you're not sure if it will make a difference. However, we should vote if we want better healthcare, education, and childcare, fairer taxation, a basic income for all, good recycling facilities, better roads and transportation, and better local amenities, because your government, both national and local, is responsible for all of these services, and our vote in a General, Local, or Philippine Election will have a big impact in our future.
The most important way for us to have our voices heard on matters that affect us is to vote. We can participate in the decision-making that affects our lives by voting. Others will make decisions for us if we do not vote! Every day, decisions are made on our behalf in areas such as healthcare, education, and housing, as well as global problems such as defense and the environment and local issues such as bins and recreational facilities.

My perfect day would start with coffee and end with a good night hug with my dogs.
My favorite comfort food is pasta made by my mother, every time we are thinking of snacks, we automatically think of spaghetti.
If I won the lottery, the first thing that I would buy is a big house, so that we can adopt many dogs and both my family and the dogs have a comfortable home.
If I had to eat one type of food for the rest of my life, it would be spicy chicken buffalo wings. Just thinking of it makes me hungry.
If I had to leave my native county, I would go to Korea. I love everything in South Korea, from weather to food, films, and music.
Tips I would give my freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior self

First and foremost, savor every moment of your life; there are no do-overs in life. Whether you're a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior, make the most of every minute of your life. Second, set a life objective. Everyone wishes for a prosperous life, but we must remember to relish and treasure each moment and each person we meet.
Every single day must be used to achieve your goals, according to your past, present, and future selves. Having a goal will keep you motivated to work hard toward it, and having the right mindset will keep you running toward it. You must devote the majority of your time to planning how to attain it. Once you've discovered your path, make every effort to follow it. The third is to correct your mistakes. Working on your mistakes is the best approach to progress in life. As a student, you are prone to making several errors. As a result, it's critical to work diligently on your flaws. Consider what you did throughout the day before going to bed. If you realize you've made a mistake, reflect on it and begin to correct it. Gradually, you will find that your abilities have improved. Finally, and most importantly, you must have a learning mentality. Life is full of challenges, and many people will fail as a result of their mindset. Simply remind yourself that no matter what you're going through, you can conquer it and learn from it. Almost everything in your life can teach you something. This will assist you in understanding life's facts. Try to approach everything with an open mind and a positive outlook.
Success is the sum of small efforts - repeated day in and day out.
#TBT Photos and the Story Behind Them
Throwback photos act as reminders and take you on a nostalgic journey through your past. Today is "Throwback Thursday," or "TBT," which is why I've decided to post a throwback photo with a backstory.
This photo was taken early on New Year's Day, January 1st. I think this is the cutest image of Pinky, our lone female dog; she has the brightest eyes and a smile that makes my heart skip a beat. She is wearing a ribbon in the photo, which is mine; I just placed it on her because I think it looks better on her. I chose this photo because she makes me happy and laughs on the first day of the year. She is the most hyperactive of our dogs, and she eats a lot. We refer to her as "baby pink" or "our princess" since she is the most gorgeous and loving dog we have ever seen.
I didn't expect, however, that by February, everything had changed, that she had become frail and had terrible mange. But we did our best every day to treat her well and meet her needs.
The saddest and most heartbreaking day of this year occurred in March. I'm not going to get into all the details because it makes me cry even now as I write this blog. I chose this photo because I miss her dearly and long for her to return home and play with us, then give us her sweetest and brightest smile.

What I'd Do Differently - Life Choices
When I make a decision, I must consider how my decision will effect my future. Of course, there are several types of decisions to be made; some are simple to make, while others are more challenging. For example, deciding whether or not to buy that new piece of clothes is a simple decision. Other decisions that will have an impact on other people's life, on the other hand, are more challenging.
If God gave me the opportunity to change my path or my life choices, I would. I'm not interested in living in the city or have a luxurious life. I simply want to go somewhere far away with my pets and live a tranquil life free of worry, difficulties, and polluted surroundings. Also, if I had known my Pinky would die, I would have given her many warm hugs instead of isolating her, and I would have spent more time with her instead of staring at my phone all the time. I should've brought you to the vet and spent many years playing with you if I had known the small wound would take your life. If I had known that the little decisions I made would have such a big impact on my life and leave me heartbroken, I would not have made them in the first place.
So, if given the opportunity, it would be my decision. We only have one life, and I want to spend it with my family and pets so that I don't have any regrets and can live happily.Ā
What I Miss About Face-to-Face Classes
It's been more than two years since the pandemic began, and everything has changed and become unfortunate for all of us. Face-to-face learning turned into distance learning. Schools were closed, and the surroundings were thunderously uninteresting. Everything was turned upside down for me as a student who always found schools to be a place to wander and enjoy. I miss the old days when the class would end and my circle of friends would gather and put makeup together. Even theirĀ jokes, chitchats, small arguments, and even the difficult week I've had with my friends. These things have changed as a result of the pandemic. I never expected to miss them as much as I did. Also, without events and activities, school events such as culminating months, intramurals, and foundation day would be incomplete. It was incredible and pleasant to remember those experiences. We don't realize how valuable and important small things are until they are gone. So, if given the opportunity, I would do it again. This time, though, I will not take anything for granted, and I will have no regrets.
How I feel about the Planned Limited Face-to-Face Classes
It's been difficult for us to conduct online classes in the country for more than two years. For me, the most difficult issue this year has been transitioning to 100% online schooling, and being in a physical classroom is tremendously different from learning online. I must admit that anytime I am in a virtual class, I am always nervous and unable to concentrate. Therefore, learning at a school is best for me.
I always think that there is a rainbow after the rain, no matter how bad things are. It signifies that amid the darkness and clouds, something lovely and full of light has appeared. Some places in the Philippines have welcomed the year 2022 since they are now preparing for the limited face-to-face sessions. Receiving the news gives me optimism that, despite losing out on face-to-face classes and making new friends for more than a year owing to the epidemic, we will be able to enjoy the pleasures of returning to school once more. I'm looking forward to seeing pals I haven't seen in a long time after two years of school. When I hear the news, the first thing that comes to mind is what to wear, whether it's my favorite watch, a new hairband, or a piece of jewelry to represent my personal style.
Despite certain difficulties, we students stay positive and optimistic. All we need is optimism and resilience at the end of the day. Hope that things will improve in the future and the strength to hold on until they do. In the meantime, whatever hardships, obstacles, in decisions, and fears we face, we must remember that these, too, will pass and that, by God's grace, we will succeed.
Let's Consider the Positive Things
Letter to my 10-year-old self
Dear 10-year-old Jam,
Well, ten years have passed, and I miss you, but you'll be relieved to know that everything has turned out well. I just want to let you know that I am happy that you spent your childhood days to the fullest! Life is going to be challenging in the next few years, so while you're still young, you must enjoy life.
Don't be tired of asking mom to go to our neighborās house and play with the other kids. Do you still remember how you spent your grade school? It was a lot of fun, right? I admit that I want to go back to that day with you, you meet wonderful people along the way. Then the happy and exciting part was every recognition day, youāve received a lot of awards, right? Youāre at top of the class and youāve become so happy when your parent goes to the stage with you. Keep in mind that, you should cherish that precious moment because, in your high school, there are many changes. But I am still proud of you, I witness your struggles but you kept fighting. You are more capable and smart than you think. Don't let what's going on in your life interfere with your studies ā you can reach your goals regardless of what's going on outside of school. So, pay attention to your teachers and maintain working hard. I'm sure it'll be worthwhile.
It will take a long time, but you will eventually stop trying to please everyone and commit more time to be good to yourself. My advice to you is to get started as soon as possible.My final guidance to you, 10-year-old Jam, is to exercise every day and take care of your skin!

How I Chose my TCM Major
I envy those who know by the age of ten that they want to be a doctor, policeman, or nurse; others, like me, have more difficulty deciding what to do with their lives. People who have decided to attend a university or college must make an important decision: what major will they pursue? This is a difficult question for me. I believe that choosing a major is an essential step in the college process that should not be taken lightly. I spent six years deciding on what major to choose. I had many different people influence my decision, but in the end, it was my own decision, and I'm still happy with it.
The question is how I chose my major, I believe choosing a major in college is difficult because you are deciding what you will be doing for the rest of your life, which is not an easy decision to make. The first thing that I consider is my passion, I asked myself several times āWhat do you want to do with your life?ā Finding my passion is a never-ending, sometimes life-long quest. It takes a lot of self-reflection, attention, and action to find the topics, tasks, and industries that excite you. How I incorporate my passions into my life varies greatly from person to person. The first thing I did in finding my passion is considering my strengths to help me find the roles that appeal to my interest. Next is contemplating the topics I enjoy teaching or discussing with others, such as the types of conversations I enjoy the most. I believe that digging deeply into these factors will take time, but will help me pinpoint exactly what motivates me. Following that, I consider some career advice from my previous teachers, which helps me to progress from a broad understanding of life and work to a more specific one. Finally, I consider my favorite subjects from Senior High School. The first is Oral Communication, which, although I was nervous every time I was asked to speak in front of the class, it's a lot more entertaining and challenging. Then there's entrepreneurship, which I enjoy because it allows me to collaborate with my group members, especially on the making of our prototype and final product. It was especially enjoyable when we sold it on campus.
I've always enjoyed interacting with others and I am interested in business, so I knew I wanted to pursue a major in Technology Communication Management. I've enjoyed the TCM course so far, it was fun and challenging. Choosing a course and a college is a significant decision for incoming college students. While it is impossible to predict what will happen in the future, the choices you make can influence the experiences you will have in the coming years. I hope we can all make it, we just have to trust the process.
