the thing about media literacy is that understanding why the author chose to specify that the curtains are blue is the same skill set as understanding that the way the author characterizes all black characters as angry or all chinese characters as meek and silent is racist. it is the same skill set as being able to identify when a news source is biased or when someone is feeding you propaganda. the ability to ask "why did this person choose to present this premise in this specific way?" is a critical skill in a world full of misinformation. why are the curtains blue? maybe it's a characterization detail. maybe it's extraneous worldbuilding. why is this character written as being right all the time? maybe you're intended to disagree with them. maybe it doesn't matter. maybe you should still ask why.

the problem with movie remakes is that they always remake something that was already good, meaning at worst you ruin it and at best your remake is largely redundant. to make a truly good remake you need to start with source material that is absolute dogwater. ignore the pull of nostalgia. redeem the sins of moviemaking past.

I'm just gonna assume it was ass and the creator never actually had any plans to go into it, like the hack they are. The subversion being the killer of the female teacher, Na exs wife in the show (not in the manhwa)- didn't die by the violent students hands. It actually a third party that wanted to frame the obviously bad guy student, who clearly was never gonna get a redemption.

To give the writers of Teach you a lesson at netflixs some credit. They do keep fixing the bullshit from the webtoons. MY GOD! They actually confrim the female teacher who died was Na exs wife. We never even got that fucking far in webtoon english releass. It was always implied but they are doing good on the "dead wife haunts the narrative". Unlike the fuckin Hack of a webtoon.

I always had a sneaking suspicion, the manhwa was going to contuine no matter what. An it turned out I was correct! The manwha is still on going and got updated like 3 days ago.
