Store manager came into the back room to tell us that our department alone brought in over $47,000 yesterday, proudly proclaiming that it was almost equivalent to $3300 per hour. Mind you I worked 9 hours yesterday and made less than $150, and this is coming off of 2 weeks of having my hours literally cut in half. Like, what are we meant to feel about that other than rage? That’s more per hour than I make in a month.

#it’s been eating away at me all day #and in the meantime I’m over here wondering how I can afford the $1200 to fix my infected tooth #I used to have health insurance but they took it away for part time #without notice #I used to be considered full time at 4 days but they changed that too #again without notice #which is also why they’re allowed to cut my hours the way they do because they simply can #because we’re numbers and graphs of hours and not human beings #I’m only *part time* because I’m a full time student #it’s literally one less day #fuck everything tbh #void

My cat was sitting in my doorway screaming at me to come out of my room for like 20 minutes. She was deeply upset that I was still at my desk when it was obviously living room time. Only for her to completely ignore me when I come out to the living room -_-
