JEE Main 2020 is the national level undergraduate engineering entrance examination and the gateway for the admission to different B.Tech/B.E which is held by the National Testing Agency. From the year of 2019, JEE Main is being conducted by the National Testing Agency conduct twice a year in computer-based mode. Also, JEE Main is the qualifying exam for the JEE Advanced through which students can get admission to 23 IITs. JEE Main 2020 will be held for 2 papers where Paper-1 is for B.Tech and Paper-2 for B.Arch admissions. Applications of JEE Main 2020 for January will be tentatively available from September 2 in online mode. The admit card will be published in the last week of December and the examination can be conducted in the second week of January.
Students can appear twice for JEE Main 2020 examination. The better of the two numbers will be used for the purpose of ranking as per the regulations laid by the officials. In the states like Haryana, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Nagaland as well as many other private universities use JEE Main ranks for admissions. JEE Main 2020 Eligibility Criteria
All Students must adhere to the directed NTA JEE Main 2020 eligibility criteria. It covers guidelines for age, qualifications, requisite academic subjects studied in the qualifying exam and pass percentage etc. The detailed JEE Main eligibility criteria to appear for the entrance examination are given below.
Age Criteria: There is no age limit for JEE Main 2020.
Qualifying Examinations: Students must have qualified class 12 or equivalent examination in 2018 or 2019. Students appearing for class 12 board exam in 2020 will be also eligible for JEE Main 2020.
Subjects to be Qualified in Qualifying Exam: Students must have studied a minimum of 5 subjects which will be considered. They are Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject, Mathematics, Physics, Language and any other subject. Students who have taken four subjects will not be eligible.
Number of Attempts: All students can appear twice in a year. Students can appear for JEE Main for three years continuously, therefore, the total attempts assigned for each student will be six in three years.
JEE Main Paper II: Students applying for B.Arch programme must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with 50% marks in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics individually and in aggregate. Diploma holders are not eligible for the entrance examination.
Qualifying Marks for Admission into IITs, IIITs, NITs, and CFTIs: Gen/OBC students must have obtained a minimum of 75% marks or should be in the top 20% of their respective boards. Students belonging to SC/ST category must have minimum marks of 65% or be in the top 20% of their boards.

JEE Main 2020 application form for January session will be published in online mode by NTA tentatively from September 2. The application form for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is the same format. Students could submit the application form either for Paper 1 and Paper 2 or for both. To fill the application form of JEE Main 2020, the students follow the given steps:
Registration: Students have to register first by filling the details such as the State of Eligibility, name of the candidate, date of birth, gender, State where Class 12th School / NIOS Study Center is located, Identification ID and finally the security pin has to be entered.
Fill JEE Main 2020 Application Form: Students have to enter the following details such as Exam Related Details like Paper appearing for (Paper 1 and 2 or both), choice of any 4 examination centres, preferred language for the exam (English/ Hindi/ Gujarati), Personal details, Contact details, Academic details, Guardian details and Password (It must have 8 to 13 characters with at least one lower case alphabet, one Upper case, one numeric value and one special character - !@#$%^&*)
