Mischief Managed
It has come to our attention that certain content from this tumblr blog were copied and pasted in a reboot of another roleplaying group.
While we understand that while the Mischief Makers Era roleplaying group is no longer active and urged the previous roleplayers who wish to continue with their character’s lives in the rebooted one, it bothers the previous admins to a certain degree that plagiarism and other hard work done on this group was easily copied without giving credit or asking for permission. While we strive to end things on a professional level, one cannot help but wonder why certain issues from the past must be brought up in such unprofessional manners.
Roleplaying, as a such aims to imitate life in the most realistic of ways. Without dwelling into your character’s minds, it will limit your creativity. Roleplaying should be done as enjoyment, and be a continuous ongoing process of creative growth.
We always aim to encourage people to create ooc friendships and welcome anyone with critiques and with open arms, as we strive to put the previous issues behind. We do not harbour bad blood when a previous roleplayer would graciously apply for another character. Everyone, no matter what, deserves to be given a chance. We can always do better and we learn from our past mistakes after all.
How can we, as writers in general expect to be respected when we cannot own up to our own issues?
As such, it has been decided by the admin Stagstar (Nina and Kaya) that this admin page will be on indefinite hiatus. While we do not wish to drop names and create more bad blood, we would like to emphasize that the OC group idea of a boarding school called Nottingham was created and constructed by myself, Admin Nina. While all ideas are all influenced by other sources, I cannot stress enough how terribly insulting it was to have my own idea and creativity taken away from me without so much as a permission from anyone.
I can safely admit that I have nostalgic memories of previous threads and other friendships I created, but to have my idea taken away from me ruins all hopes of integrity. I will not make it a point to control anyone anymore. I am done with playing the proverbial catty American high scool drama despite the fact that we are all adults. I am 20 years old, and I cannot stand holding on to my past roleplaying life.
It is the most disappointing thing to extend an olive branch of peace by negotiating on ending the group on fair terms but be expected to please everyone, only to realize that they still harbor disgust and hatred for you in secret.
It does not do well to dwell on the past for too long.
Admin Kaya would also like to add that for whatever reason the previous roleplayers who have had issues with our admin skills, we both agreed that we wouldn’t be here today without the roleplayers, and that includes everyone who have ever been a part of this group, both who left after a brief moment of time, and those who were here from the very beginning.
The roleplayers will always be the top priority when it comes to running a successful group, we do not believe we are omnipotent or omniscient with our skills but we can only do our best. We will always think fondly of the good times we had, while accepting the bad memories as well.
We have grown up and matured, knowing that growth is subjective for everyone else, but it’s high time that Sirius and James start facing the real world now, as we are both 20 years old and very much keen on pursuing mischief together in an adult setting.
This group was established on early 2011, and we would like to thank the previous admins as well. We will not say we were the best admins, as we are fairly certain the previous ones did their best and have move on to greater pastures.
It is about time we all move on as well, and sign off with a proper farewell to anyone and everyone who have ever been a part of this remarkable group.
Mischief managed,
Admins Stagstar
