phone call --> Calla Davis
Chase: The boy couldn't help but let go of the small chuckle bubbling in his throat. "You know I can't tell you that. The producers would kill me and besides, there wouldn't be any point in watching if I told, would there?" He teased the girl, pausing, only longing for her to be wrapped up in his arms. He'd went on a few dates since their split, but it wasn't anything serious and Chase wasn't looking for something long-term. He liked to fool around, there was no doubt about that but the only girl he could ever see himself settling down with was, of course, the girl on the other line. "Calla, you heard me." He said, barely audible. It was strange for him to come out and immediately express his feelings but he had to do it. "I was at the store the other day and I seen a key chain with a C on it and it reminded me of the one I had to get you while I was in France because nothing ever has your name on it and I had to settle with just a C." Letting out a long sigh, he mentally scalded himself for being so sappy towards her.
Calla: She couldn't laugh anymore. The pit of her stomach felt empty. It was 10:07 on a Tuesday night. She was stuck in her car, unable to even turn it on. Chase missed her. He admitted it. Months had gone by, and all of the sudden he'd mentioned it. Why now? What was so different about right now than before? She had to calm herself down, taking a few deep breaths, and stopping herself from screaming, she closed her eyes, collecting her thoughts. She knew from day one he was it for her. She knew that. He knew that. And before this moment, it was like he didn't care. Whatever had happened between them...everything that happened between them...It happened for a reason right? That shouldn't matter. Calla should be over him. She should just shut her phone off, block his number and forget about him, but anyone in their right mind knew that wouldn't happen. No matter how long they wouldn't talk, he always had a piece of her heart. It was a curse, no doubt, but maybe it was a blessing too. "W-Why now, Chase? Why after five months of absolutely nothing did you call me out of the blue? It wasn't because of that key chain. There had to be something else to it..You can't just...Fuck, damn it.." She shut her eyes, clearing her thoughts. She couldn't even think straight. "You can't just say that and expect me to say it back." He knew she missed him too, but hell might freeze over before she said it. She wasn't a push over anymore.
