what's your opinion on trans men reclaiming the t slur? i recently realized im a trans guy, and i don't want to cross any lines, but i also don't understand the hostility towards trans men who use the term for themselves? there seems to be some notion i don't get about how it's only for trans women even though it was used historically against all trans people
(( Hey Mod here, I know I haven’t really updated this blog in a while but this ask really struck me. Anon, I know things are new for you and you want to seek solace in someone with anonymity but this isn’t really a blog for a serious question like that.
I WILL REPEAT, THIS IS A MEME ASKBLOG, I DONT WANT PEOPLE TO VENT TO A MEMEBLOG. Go to my account -- @lemongxts
But I will answer your questions as a fellow transdude; I personally don’t care if you use the t slur. You’re trans, and that slur could be used towards you especially now that you’re out. It doesn’t have a gendered binary lean on who it can or cannot be said by. If a slur is used at you in a derogatory sense; it is a slur you can reclaim. I have no say on it. Now that isn’t a free pass for you to go and insult other trans people, but just be wary on who you come in contact with irl and on the internet because some people may not like the use of slurs in a joking sense on themselves or even like hearing the word. But just know I am not every trans person, nor is any other word from other trans people. No trans experience is the same and its not our right to stop someone from feeling how they do. If you disagree with someones beliefs/views on how to be trans just block and move on no point with fighting with a brick wall. )) -- Mod Oku, who will hopefully update this blog more sometime soon
