a letter to all you sunshines: reblog please?
Hi. I’m Olivia, if you remember me. If you don’t, and you’re reading this because it popped up somewhere, I ran jmazzabs. A friend of mine on FanFiction (wow holy shit it’s been a while since I said that) suggested I make a tumblr, and I did, about two years ago, and it was honestly one of the best decisions I’d made in my life.
I made so many amazing friends, and a lot of them had read my stories on FanFiction and wanted me to write drabbles. When I did, it really did change me. I started writing twenty four seven, and I became so pre-occupied with my stories and my followers and my blog that I forgot what it was like to have a normal life. I never told any of my friends about my blog or FanFiction, and still haven’t to this day, and never will. They won’t understand, will they?
Anyway, I wanted to say goodbye to all of you. I left last September or October, and I honestly don’t know why I just didn’t come on for months at a time. Maybe part of it was becoming so busy, and another was growing up. I still love Big Time Rush. I keep up with them a little bit (obviously not like before, when I’d surround my day with them) and they still make me smile and laugh, and they still make my heart melt. But something isn’t the same as it was when I was first into my blog. I really don’t know what it is, but if I did, I’d tell you. I just wanted to say that I know I left for months, and that most of you have probably forgotten about me, but I wanted to say goodbye, adieu, to this part of my life. There will be no more drabbles, or smuts, and I won’t be finishing the FanFiction stories. But thank you
I honestly don’t have enough words to express my gratitude for you all; for the constant support, for the friends, the laughs, the smiles. To anyone who read One Night or I Shouldn’t Love You or any of the drabbles or smuts and posted comments, favorited, reblogged, etc., you are a wonderful person for making a teenage girl smile. All the love on anything I’d written made my heart burst with happiness, and I don’t think any of you will understand how good it felt to know that people were enjoying what I was writing. I know I wasn’t the biggest blog, and I am nowhere near the best writer online, but having the support system I did made me a lot happier in general, and I could never, ever thank you enough.
For anyone who is considering writing, on any platform, in any genre, all I have to say is that you should do it. Don’t let anyone say that you shouldn’t do something that YOU want to do. Who cares if your story only gets one review on the first chapter? We all start somewhere, at different levels. Just keep writing, do it all the time, and have fun doing it.
In almost conclusion (and this whole rant probably made no sense but you know, feelings and everything), I won’t be deactivating this account. You can still come here and read drabbles and leave me messages, and maybe every now and again I’ll pop on and see what’s going on. I don’t want to take away a huge part of myself by erasing this account. I want it here so I can come back, and that you can come back, and that (hopefully) new people will find it and read and smile or laugh.
Always be yourself. Know that you’re beautiful and worth it and that someone (ME) loves you no matter what. Do what makes you smile and always stay humble.
I love you all forever and always.
Lots and lots of love,
Olivia
