He looked at the male for a moment, raising a brow in surprise; it's not everyday people these days apologize and even offering to buy a new cup of coffee after bumping into others. His eyes fixed on the male's feature for a moment whilst the words his parents has been teaching him repeated on his mind.

He suddenly had flashback of his father giving him lecture after being betrayed by his business partner, remembering clearly it was midnight when the old man came home with a stressed look on his face. The one sentence that Junmyeon could remember up till now was, "Son, you don't trust strangers easily."

But this guy in front of him doesn't seem so harmless, or at least that's how Junmyeon thought he is, he glanced back at the male and cleared his throat before speaking up, "If you insist, then I'd like my coffee with little amount of sugar and less cream"

The sun had fallen much quicker than expected. The moon graced the evening sky with the smooth shape of a crescent and the stars scattered to create patterns and opportunities for creative minds to design shapes like a life-sized connect the dots book. The button rest; December had ended and left a new year for those who walk the earth to begin again.

The cold winter breeze left whispers in their ears as the chill circled the outer shell. Luckily their clothing kept majority of their skin in warmth from the harsh blows from Mother Nature.

"Have you ever noticed how the stars only come out on certain nights?" Chen’s voice broke the peaceful silence. The question lifted Booby’s innocent eyes and he gazed upon the lights set high up above. Truthfully, the opportunity to stare up at the night sky was rare. Even when his eyes would venture up when the evening came around the stars never seemed to be awake. That was until that night.

"They must like to sleep a lot. I haven’t seen this many in … a long time."

Just then, Chen’s arm lifted from it’s position and pulled his hand out from his jacket’s pocket. With an extended finger he raised his arm up and over the shoulder of Booby’s stature. Booby’s eyes glanced at the hand hovering beside him and then redirected his sight to follow his finger.

In came Chen’s low voice as subtle clouds of smoke left with each word. “If stars would fall every time I would think of you….” He paused. Chen’s finger began to point at single star and then drag down as if he were removing them from the scene.”…the midnight sky would soon be empty.”

Booby’s expression brightened, but he contained himself to only show a small smile. It only took a matter of seconds before his head was turned to look at Chen. “Is that how all the stars ended up in your eyes?”

And just like that, they arms were wrapped around each other so tight that time itself was frozen in the winter. There was nothing but the two of them. ChenBy, it’s real.
