hello! was the donation ever completed?

hey! yes, ½ of the donation has been completed. it’s taken longer than we thought, mainly because the person in charge of managing the donations (bruna) lives in a profoundly fiscally bureaucratic country, as we’ve discovered when we started this process. that’s why we’ve had to slow down proceedings and do some proper research to find out the best way to transfer the money so as to not 1) unnecessarily lose any money making currency exchanges 2) get the money to the charities in a timely manner, but observing the limits of the law

here’s the receipt for the ½ that has been donated to rainbow railroad (a total of USA $4100 and CAD $5604,44), and we’ll let you guys know when the last ½ is completed (which should be asap):

have you finished the donation?

hello! we're at this time figuring out the best way to donate the money, so as to a) accommodate the charities' preferred method of receiving donations b) be mindful of conversion rates, since one of us is brazilian and the other is canadian, c) avoid going through the process the banks here in brazil demand when making donations, which is extremely bureaucratic and tiresome

we've already contacted both charities, and will work to make the donations as soon as possible

donation update

hey everyone, we mentioned we would be making the donations when we received what we assumed would be our last payout (on 2/24), yet it turns out we have an extra payout that gumroad will be sending on the 3rd of March (screencap below): 

this is most likely the last payout we'll receive from gumroad, so we'll be making the donation right after. we just wanted to let you guys know what was going on behind the scenes & be as open as possible about the whole process. hope you're all doing well, and thank you once again!
