Amber laughed. “No!” She leaned closer to him and giggled. “My fingers, too bad.” Amber moved her hand away and leaned in to kiss him again. The candles cast shadows against his skin and she poked his cheek again, but made she that he couldn’t bite her again. Amber never really thought that she’d be there with him and that they’d be close at all. Most people didn’t talk to her very long, if not at all, but Jonah seemed to like her a lot and she liked him just as much. She was happy for once. Really happy and she hadn’t felt that way in a long time. “Thanks for what?” she asked, a small smile forming on her face. “I didn’t do anything.”

Jonah smiled and leaned over to give her a kiss, Jonah giggled, he was happy how she made him feel, "thanks for just being you, you make me happy in the short time we have known each other." Jonah smiled and gave her a kiss, this time a more passionate kiss. Jonah let out a small laughter followed by a blush. he bit his lower lip and looked at Amber seductively.

Amber kissed Jonah back. She enjoyed kissing him, despite her nerves which were slowly fading away to nothing. “I like your kisses,” she admitted quietly. She giggled. “Hey, gimme my finger back!” Amber laughed. “I need that.” She watched as he took her hand and brought it up to his lips. The small kiss made her shiver slightly. Amber leaned close to him. “What are you doing?” she asked quietly, smiling.

Jonah smiled “I like your kisses” he said in a play-ish manner, Jonah laughed “never this belongs to me now” while holding her finger in his mouth he bears a grin showing his teeth. After letting go her finger and kissing it Jonah smiled and looked up at her, “nothing just felt like kissing you there.” Jonah liked that he was able to be childish with her, most people would tell him to grow up or say he was being stupid. He was glad that he can show more of his playful side to amber and not get ridiculed. Jonah leaned over and kissed her forehead, “thanks” he said with a whisper, Jonah let out a small giggle.

Amber laid back down, glad to have Jonah beside her again. She noticed that he was looking at her again, so she looked back, trying not to smile but she couldn’t help it. “Ya keep starin’ at me,” she said quietly, “Have I got somethin’ on my face or something?” she asked curiously as she reached forward and poke his cheek again lightly before turned her body a little so that she didn’t have to turn her head to look at him anymore. It was easier that way.

Jonah giggled “no I just thought you looked even more beautiful with the candle light dancing on your face,” he leaned over and gave her a kiss. When she poked his cheek he softly bit her finger, still holding on to her finger he let out a playful giggle. After a few seconds he released her finger and grabbed her hand. He held her hand with both hands; he looked at amber and smiled. Jonah then lifts her hand towards his lips, he closed his eyes and his lips softly grazed her knuckles, he then kissed her hand and opened his eyes, and looked at Amber.

Amber nodded in full agreement. “Yeah, we definitely have a few things in common. The anti-social thing definitely being the first one.” she laughed a little and looked over at him. She moved the hair away from her eyes and sighed. “Thanks, Jonah.” He made Amber happy, made her feel less of a bother with everything somehow. “I like your accent, too.”

Amber wondered where he was going. Her body was cold where he was laying and she shivered slightly as she watched him walk away. She looked up at the sky to pass the time, her thoughts actually not wandering too far for once. She just thought of Jonah and the stars. Amber sat up as he came back and smiled. “Ooh, candles!” she giggled. “I like watching the flames on them. It’s really calming. I have no idea why.” Amber tucked her hair behind her ears and shook her head. “No thanks,” she said quietly.

Jonah laughed along Amber about her comment, “there’s no need to thank me, it’s the truth,” he let out a small chuckle. “Thanks” he said after receiving a complement about is accent. “yea i keep them here just in case it gets late when I draw.” Jonah set down the granola bars and went back to cuddling with Amber. He looked at her and observed how the candle light danced across her face, it was mystical it made Jonah even more attracted to her.

Amber noticed throughout the day that Jonah was a fairly quiet person, but she didn’t mind at all. Most of the time she was pretty quiet herself. She much rather preferred being around herself, doing her own thing, then going to parties. She didn’t even like parties. Not anymore at least. They only ever led to bad things for Amber. The night sky was just as beautiful as the sunset. It was clear and she could see all the stars.

"Oh, hush," she giggled, turning to him again. Amber thought before speaking again. "I don’t like talking about myself. I feel like I may bore you to sleep or somethin’ and my accent gets annoyin’ I think." Amber sighed a little. "I kinda sound like my mum a bit though. She’s got a really sweet voice. My younger sister sounds a bit like me, too. I’ve got a big family. Like, not the normal kind of big but like, huge. I’ve got nine siblings."

“The night is beautiful” Jonah said then looked back at Amber, and smiled, flashing her a wink. The weather was not to cold at night so it was not bad; it made lying on Amber even better. Jonah laughed “it would seem we have a lot of things in common.” “I don’t think you can bore me, you intrigue me Amber, and I’m very curious about you” you said with a devilish smile. Jonah gazed directly at Amber; he stroked her head “I love your accent, even if you may find it annoying, I like you just the way you are.” Jonah gave her a smile.

“I’ll be right back” Jonah got up, and looked back down at Amber lying down; he smiled and disappeared into the dark room. Several minutes passed and Jonah came back holding some candles and some snacks. “I thought we could use some more lights other then the street lights.” He giggled as he laid down the candles and snacks. Jonah pulled out a lighter from his pocket and started to light the candles. The candles and signs of it being used, there was spews of old wax going down the white and red candles. “Granola bar?” Jonah asked

Amber scrunched her nose again. “I don’t even know what to say,” she said quietly. “Or where to start.” She shrugged lightly and looked up at the sky above her as she thought again. “Maybe you don’t think I’m borin’ know, but you will soon enough. I mean, there’s really not much. I’m usually really quiet, I guess, and really the last year and half here is really the only things that are actually maybe somewhat interesting. Or sad, however you’d look at it, I guess.” Amber turned away from the sky and looked at Jonah. She smiled. It was nice laying down next to someone. It was comforting and she couldn’t help but remember all those nights in her dorm, after Niall broke up with her when she imagined having him beside her. She also remembered when she was at her worst and she would have dreams that would only upset her, making them seem more like nightmares.

Amber brought her free hand up to her cheek and pressed lightly against her warm skin. “My face is always red,” she said. “I mean, it’s more red than usual now, but sometimes they just get red for no reason. My mum used to think I was always ill or somethin’, but nope just my paleness.” Amber giggled a little after amusing herself. She noticed that Jonah’s face reddened after talking and she poked his cheek. “You’re so cute when your face gets red,” she said, repeating what he had told her minutes before with a smirk on her face.

Jonah looked at Amber”sounds like my year” he let out a giggle he didn’t want to say too much about himself, he never really liked sharing too much info. He would often avoid question about himself or give vague answers and or remarks. Jonah noticed the sun had finally set and the street lights filled the night, the stars were art and the moon looked beautiful. Jonah gazed back at Amber and smiled.

Jonah was taken by surprise when amber poked his cheek, Jonah laughed, “touché” he flashed her with another smile and gave her a kiss. “but I think you’ re way cuter,” he gave her a devilish smile, Jonah is very happy and in a playful mood, he let out a small giggle, enticed to know what she would say after.

"I thought so," she said quietly. She stayed quiet and just looked at him, thoughtless for the first time all day. Amber was pretty open when it come to talking to people. She could talk about anything and everything if she was comfortable with talking to that person. She was shy unless she knew the person and slowly she was getting more comfortable around Jonah. "Well, what do you wanna know?" she asked. "I’m pretty borin’, but I’ll I’ll tell ya anything, really."

Amber noticed him staring at her and she smiled. “T-thanks,” she said quietly, her face reddening once again before kissing him. Amber looked at him as he rested his head on her chest. She brought her hand up to rest on the back of his head and furrowed her eyebrows as she thought. “I always want to say something. I think, because I can never just calm down. I hate ADHD, but I’m so used to it.” She stopped there and quieted herself again.

“I want to know anything and everything you’re willing to share with me” Jonah smiled “and I don’t think you’re boring at all.” He kissed her briefly on the lips, and smirked. Jonah was comfortable lying on top of Amber; he liked how he was around her, and how she made him feel. Jonah missed this feeling, the feeling of belonging.

Jonah smiled when Amber thanked him for his complement he felt great joy when he made her blush “you’re so cute when your face turns red,” Jonah giggled. He looked at Amber and thought of his words he wanted to say “ADHD is what makes you who you are and I love that about you.” Jonahs face slightly turned red.

She shook her head, but kept her hand on his face. “Don’t be sorry,” she said quietly. “You haven’t done anythin’ wrong.” She let her eyes wonder from his lips to his eyes. He had really brown eyes, which were entirely different than her extremely blue ones. She really liked his eyes, despite how popular brown eyes were. The difference of them, made them cute. “So is that what you’ve been thinkin’ about then?” she asked curiously. “I noticed you were thinkin’ before, but I couldn’t really tell.”

Whenever Jonah smiled, Amber couldn’t resist smiling back. She had only known him for a few weeks, maybe that, but he made her extremely happy without fail it seemed. Just a simple smile made her cheeks burn red. She giggled as he pulled her closer to him and kissed her. She kissed him back, letting her thumb rub lightly against his cheek. Amber couldn’t hold in another giggle as he pulled away. “Careful. Don’t spill my tea,” she said playfully, but was also serious because if he did happen to spill it it’d be a pain to have to clean up. Amber breathed through her nose quietly as she looked into his eyes. She wanted to say something, anything, but like before she couldn’t think.

Jonah laughed “yeah that was what i was thinking about.... amongst other things” Jonah was silent for a brief second he was thinking about his past. Jonah snapped back in focus and smiled at Amber “gotta focus on the here and now” he said to himself. Jonah gave Amber a light kiss on the lips; he stroked her hair and looked at her with passion. Jonah did not want this to ever end. Jonah couldn’t believe he could feel this way for anyone in a short matter of time, Jonah was curious to know more about her. “Hey” he said softly “tell me something about yourself,” Jonah smiled “I want to get to know you more.”

Jonah stared into her blue eyes and then at her lips he tilted his head slightly to the side as he watched her. “Your beautiful” he said with a charming smile, he gave her another kiss this time it was a bit longer. Jonah rested his head on her chest carefully not to heart her, “you look like you want to say something.”

Amber continued to watch the sun. It was surprisingly not as cold as she would think for a day in February and that was good. It meant they could stay out longer without having to ruin their good time. She wondered what Jonah was thinking about. He looked like he was thinking about something serious and she could tell he was confused or something. She was really tempted to ask him, but didn’t want to bother him or anything, so she kept quiet and drank her tea. Amber looked over at him. “You’re awfully quiet,” she said, but didn’t expect him to answer her. She just couldn’t hold it in. Sometimes she couldn’t help what she said or did. It was a pain but she did her best to always stay calm when she was around other people. She was always known as a freak for being so hyper, but she couldn’t help it and no one ever realised that besides her family.

Amber noticed Jonah looking at her every few minutes, but didn’t say anything. She was doing the same thing every now and then, too. Amber couldn’t help to about how she got there and what would’ve happened if she gave up with everything a year ago. Things would be way different but Amber couldn’t think about that for long. She’d upset herself and the last thing she wanted to do was cry right there in front of Jonah. She had cried in front of nearly everyone she spoke to within the past year and she was sick and tired of everyone looking at her like she was some messed up, depressed girl. Even if she was, or used to be, it still wasn’t a good feeling to be looked at that way. Amber also began to think about how Jonah would react if she told him about her depression. Obviously, he had to know at some point. She couldn’t hide it from him forever, it wasn’t fair and she knew that. It was possible that he didn’t even care about that though. He’d probably think she was mental, too, anyway. She watched the sun again as it moved slowly past the horizon.

Amber heard her name again and placed her tea down before turning to him. She was tired of holding onto it. She smiled back, feeling those butterflies fill her stomach again as he leaned closer to her and kissed her. She was really happy that he did and was sort of waiting for it to happen from earlier, but she was starting to think he didn’t want to kiss her anymore up until right now. Amber opened her eyes from the short kiss and bit her lip slightly as she thought of something to say. Her brain wasn’t putting any words together into sentences. She brought her hand up and rested it lightly against his cheek. “I’ve kinda been waitin’ for you to do that,” she admitted quietly, her voice weak from her nerves.

Jonah gazed into Amber's eyes he was happy he finally kissed her. Jonah was taken by surprised when amber placed her hand on his cheek, he even flinched “sorry” he said shyly, for some odd reason he thought she was going to hit him. Jonah wasn’t use to anyone really touching him let alone his face. All his one night stands was just unemotional hook ups. Jonah smiled when she said she was waiting for him to kiss her “really I’ve wanted to kiss you all day i just wasn’t sure if you’d let me.”

Jonah smiled again and placed his hand at the back of her neck, his thumb was softly stroking her cheek. Jonah wanted to lose himself with her he wanted to kiss her again. Jonah pulled her closer and kissed her this time more passionately; Jonah slowly lowered her down to the point where he was on top of her, his left hand on her waist and his right still stroking her face. His tongue explored her mouth. Jonah slowly lifted his head and smiled, his eyes filled with passion, with desire, he was really happy.

Amber looked away as she heard Jonah speak again. She felt bad whenever she didn’t listen to people when they talked. She would tend to get distracted too, which didn’t always make people happy about it. “It seem like a nice place to get away from people,” she said with a small nod. “No one most likely bothers ya here. That’s good.” Amber up at him and smirked. “Y’know, you’re really tall,” she commented, scrunching her nose a little. “I feel much shorter standing next to you.” Amber looked down at their hands but then up at him once more. “But I don’t mind.”

Amber sat down on the blanket and held her drink. She held the cup in her hand and looked at Jonah, her face reddening a little as his arm went around her waist. She was really fine with it. It didn’t bother her at all. Amber brought the cup up to her lips and took a small sip. “I don’t mind,” she said, lowering the cup. “Maybe it’s the Brit in me, but I prefer tea over coffee anyway.” She gave small shrug and took another sip of the hot tea. Amber liked the sunset. She enjoyed watching all the colours change and how everything just seemed so much more calm as the sun disappeared behind the horizon. It made her wonder how many people were watching the sun rise in other parts of the world. Amber felt a weird feeling in her stomach. She wasn’t sick or anything. It was a good kind of feeling. Butterflies, most likely. She hadn’t felt that in a while. It honestly was starting to scare her how happy Jonah made her. Amber didn’t want to get hurt again. Everyone she ever loved ended up hurting her somehow. Both times she blamed herself for the things they did, which made it worse.

Jonah cleared his thoughts, trying to push every doubt in his head, Jonah was happy to be with Amber, he kept repeating that to himself over and over in his head. Jonah took another sip of his tea, Jonah gave out a small sigh, “Amber” he finally said while gazing heavily into her eyes, Jonah paused “never mind” he turned his head away quickly trying to hide his extremely red face from her. He wanted to kiss her, he wanted to lose himself with her, but he was not able to muster up any courage. After Jonahs face calmed down a bit he slightly glanced at Amber from the corner of his eye, he noticed her lips, how they would part when she was about to drink her tea, how they moved when she would talk, he really wanted to kiss her so bad, more and more thoughts came rushing into his mind. “Just do it, you know you want to, so do it, she wouldn’t mind” he said to himself.

He thought in his mind if she didn’t want to she could always push him away, the thought burdened him, he really didn’t want to ruin this, he was having fun and from what he saw in amber she was having a good time to. Jonah thought about it some more, until finally he found the courage he needed, but he wasn’t sure how he would do it. Jonah thought of different scenario’s in his head. First scenario was he could just pounce on and kiss her but he thought that was way over board, the second scenario was to just ask, but then he thought now a day’s no one ask and most girls probably thought that would be wimpy and prefer it to be spontaneous. The last scenario he thought of was just grab her cheeks and lay one on her but that seemed weird in his head. Jonah didn’t know what was going on in his head. “This is the perfect mood for kissing just does it” he said once again to himself. Jonah troubled with these thoughts took a deep breath in and decided he won’t think much about it, he will do it, Jonah decided to kiss her but start of slow and if she did not want more he will understand.

“Amber” Jonah called out once again, when he drew her attention he licked his lips and flashed her a charming smile, he moved slowly closer to her, and then he kissed her. for a brief moment and slowly pulled away, trying to read her expression if she wanted him to kiss her again or even if she liked it.

Amber didn’t complain about the walk. She really enjoyed walking. It helped her clear her head somehow and whenever she couldn’t sleep, which wasn’t too often anymore, she would go out and walk around campus until she felt better. It was nice walking next to Jonah and having someone beside her. Liam had gone home, because his doctors thought it would help him, so Amber really had no one anymore. She had a few friends, but it was really just Liam who knew everything about her. Well, and Greg. Amber looked at him. “I’m good,” she said with a small nod. “Really good. How’re you doing?” She asked the question back as she turned to watch where she was walking. Amber stayed quiet, but smiled and took the cups from him. Amber walked through the fence, not questioning anything.

Amber smiled and looked down at their hands. She really liked that he wanted to hold her hand and that he didn’t look at her like she was crazy, like people used to do. Amber did look a lot better though lately. Her eyes didn’t have dark circles around them from the lack of sleep, and her hair was somewhat decent. She didn’t look like she was crying all the time and just all around she looked better. And for the most part, she was. Amber looked up at the abandoned house. It reminded her of when she was younger and her and her brother would go to the abandoned house down the street. After a fire, the people just decided to leave the house and the two would always go there to get away from their crazy family. Amber went up the ladder, careful not to fall, and through the window. She followed him wherever he told her to go, but didn’t say anything. She had nothing to say and being quiet was normal for her anyway. Amber stood there, looking around as Jonah left for a minute. It looked like a good place to go to think and get away from everyone. Amber wondered if they had that in common. Did the both not like being social? Was it just her? Yeah, probably. Amber turned and looked at him. “Why do you want me to close my eyes?” she asked, but then decided not to argue with him and just close her eyes. She felt his hands cover her eyes too. She giggled. “Hey, no fair! I had them closed.” Amber lifted her hands and put them on top of Jonah’s. She felt like if she kept her hands to her sides, she would fall or something and she didn’t want to do that. When Jonah moved his hands, she opened one eye first. She had no idea what she was going to see, but then she opened the other eye at the sight. “Woah,” she said quietly as she looked around. “It’s so- wow.” She looked over at him. “This is amazing. How’d you know what this?” she asked curiosly.

Jonah giggled, he was amused at seeing Amber's expression to the view and the sunset, Jonah looked up towards the orange, and yellow like sky. “One day I was drawing here and there was wood boards, that boarded the window and there was a small glimmer of light shining on my eye so I removed the boards and saw this view and the sunset. Ever since then this has been my... sanctuary.” Jonah looked back at amber and smiled he took both her hands and gazed at her, studying her with delight. Jonah wanted to know more, about amber and most of all he wanted her.

After a brief moment Jonah finally said “let’s sit down and enjoy the view,” he smiled at her and led her to the nicely spread blankets, once they sat down Jonah then got another thick warm blanket and threw it over them, Jonah then gave Amber her drink and with one hand he wrapped his arm around her waist, so that he could cuddle. Jonah wasn’t sure if she would react if he had placed his arm around her, he really hoped she didn’t mind it. He looked at Amber and said “its chai tea I hope you don’t mind.” Jonah looked back at the sunset and took a sip of his tea. Jonah looked at amber again, watching her look at the sunset, he wanted to make her his, but he was afraid that maybe she wouldn’t want to be with him; maybe this was just a pity date. Jonahs thoughts came rushing in clouding his head with doubt and wonder, his face saddened. Jonah really likes Amber but he is too embarrassed to ask with all the thoughts running around his head.

Amber bounced back from her thoughts at the sound of Jonah’s voice. She lblinked a few times and looked up at him. “What? O-oh, yeah. Yeah, I’m ready. Sorry,” she mumbled as she stood up and tucked her hair behind her ears again. Amber was used yo losing herself in thought. It happened all the time and in the first few months of last year, before she was diagnosed with anything, she would sit in her room and just think. Her thoughts weren’t always pleasant and most of the time she would cry until she fell asleep, but no one ever interupted her. No one bothered too. Not that her thoughts were bad at the moment, but they were confused and she was happy Jonah had caught her attention before she overthought herself into some kind of sadness.

Amber continued to wonder who he was texting the whole time. She wasn’t a loud person and didn’t usually ask any questions, so she minded her own business and looked around the bus like usual. She looked at the few people, mostly older people going and coming from work and she looked outside as things passed by. She followed him iff the bus and bounced in the spot she was standing in. Her hyperactive side showing once again. “Yes, I’m ready!” she laughed. “Well, ready as I’ll ever be.”

Jonah smiled “ok lets go then,” he took her hand and they walked a few blocks away from the shop, it took awhile to get to where they were going but he didn’t mind, as long as he was with her he didn’t mind at all, Jonah was happy for once, he liked being with Amber and he kind of loved sharing something he cherished and thought was special with her. Jonah looked at her “how you doing?” he said with a smile, he wanted to know what she was thinking right now. They were almost there, “can you hold these” he said and handed the cups to amber. They came up to a broken down fence leading to an ally, Jonah then set down the back with blankets and lifted the broken piece of the fence up letting Amber go through.

“I know this seems sketchy but you don’t have anything to worry about” Jonah flashed a reassuring smile at her. Once Amber went through he picked up the blankets and went through the fence, he took hold of her hand and continue to walk through the ally, after a few minutes of walking they approached a small shack with a ladder against it “we are going to go up on there,” Jonah pointed to the roof of an abandon house with a patio on the third floor. “The only way we can get there is going up the ladder, onto the shack and through that window.” Jonah took the drinks from amber and told her to go up the ladder. On the roof of the shack Jonah opened the window and went through holding out his hand to help amber through. Once inside Jonah looked around there was only a mattress on the semi dusty floor and a couch. “sorry i know it’s a mess” Jonah said with a smile “we just have to go up stairs” Jonah lead the way, up the stairs and into a room what looked like it was the master bedroom, it had candles and an aisle and a few books and drawings around. Jonah opened the window leading to the patio. “I come here often it’s kind of where I go to....” Jonah paused afraid to tell her the real reason, the truth was he comes here to escape people and his problems but he wouldn’t dare tell anyone that he didn’t want people to think he was weird or anything. Finally he said draw, “Wait right here for a moment,” Jonah smiled and went onto the patio where he laid down the blankets and set the drinks down; he entered and told Amber to close her eyes. He went behind her and placed his hands on her eyelids making sure she wouldn’t peak, he leaned over and whispered “are you ready?” his breathing was heavy and warm on her ear, Jonah carefully escorted her out onto the patio and removed his hands from her eyes and said “ok you can open them” what Amber say was a most beautiful view of the town and the sunset. “well what do you think?” he smiled showing his teeth.

Millions of thoughts ran around her head. It was normal though and she did her best to ignore it. Amber stopped and watched Jonah attempt a trick. She had a feeling he might end up hurting himself and so she watched him carefully as he tried, and laughed when he stopped himself. “It was a very nice attempt though,” she giggled, clapping her hands together quietly. She lowered her hands as he got closer and looked up once again at the much taller boy. She noticed him looking right at her and watched as his gaze moved around her face, making her anxious for way too many reasons. Amber watched as he leaned in realised that he was going to kiss her.

Her curiosity got worse and worse as she followed Jonah, and began to untie her skates. She struggled with it for a moment, but got it off on her own. Amber thought as she untied the other one. She wondered if Jonah liked her. Like, liked her. He wouldn’t have asked her to go on a date with him or want to hold her hand if he didn’t, right? And before he was just second away from kissing. That had to mean something? She kept asking herself all these questions, her curiosity taking over her head. She had been hurt a lot before by guys and was done with it. She refused to let that happen to her again and she had a feeling that if it did somehow, she wouldn’t be able to handle it.

After untying his skates Jonah grabbed his shoes and put them on, he looked over to Amber to see if she was done, Jonah wouldn’t look her in the eyes at least not right now, not with all the images and thoughts running a muck. Jonah looked back down “hey you ready?” he said quietly, Jonah stood up and tried his best to muster up a smile, he wasn’t sure what she what she was thinking, he wanted to know if his phone didn’t ring would she let him kiss her, would she like it? Does she even like him? Jonah never really dated before at least nothing to serious he had his share of one night stands, but only when he got drunk a few times, most of the time he didn’t really have time for a relationship or he kept to himself and people thought he was weird or something, so this whole dating thing was pretty new to him. One thing for sure, Jonah fells something special with Amber, he wanted her, he wanted every part of her, this he is certain of.

Jonah stood up and took out his phone, he searched for a number and started to text “hey were about to leave, be there in 10min or so.” Jonah took a deep breath and exhaled, he needed to calm down and clear his thoughts and focus on the now. Once amber was ready they waited at the bus stop for 5 minutes luckily they came out the ice rink just in time, they got on the bus and went to the next destination, Jonah very nervously grabbed Ambers hand and looked at her. “Were gonna make a pit stop before we go to where I wanna take you.” He smiled playfully. After a few minutes on the bus Jonah rang the bell to get off and pulled out his phone and started to text “hey where outside the shop,” they had arrived at a small hidden coffee shop, a small girl with red hair, piercings and an apron came out holding a bag with blankets and 2 cups with the shops name on it. Jonah greeted the girl and thanked her for the stuff. He turned to Amber and smiled “ok now are you ready for where I’m going to take you?”

Amber shivered lightly as he leaned closer to her. She brushed it off, telling herself that it was just because she was cold, but really it was because of him. Heat rose to her cheeks, reddening them more than they already were. “Cheeky, aren’t you?” she mumbled, her accent somehow seemed more pronounced than usual. Amber was happy to be out of her dorm for once. Honestly, since Niall broke up with her a year ago, everything only went down hill for her. Not only did her grades drop, but she completely dropped all her friends and let her “depression” get the best of her. She didn’t like being told that she suffered from depression. It still seemed so unreal, and she hid it well. Sometimes she could even hide it from herself, to the point where she really didn’t think anything was wrong with her. Until, at some point, her thoughts would start to seep into her mind again and upset her, like they loved to do. Amber was getting better there, quite slowly, but it surely helped being out with someone. Especially someone who seemed to make her very happy.

Amber listened to him and nodded slowly, repeating his words to herself. “A special place and you want to share it with me.” She looked down as she thought for a quick second and then nodded once again. She scrunched her nose up, a habit she got from her mother, and looked up at him to speak. “I don’t do well with surprises. I mean.. I’m just really curious about everything. Pretty hyper, too - but I’m pretty sure I’ve told you about that already.” Amber felt like she was beginning to ramble and stopped herself because she started to talk too much. She wondered who he was texting. She was always curious about something. There was never a time when she wasn’t. “Alright,” she said. “Then let’s not waste these ten minutes!” Amber pulled his arm lightly as she began to skate around again.

Jonah smiled once again at Amber he was really happy being with her at the skating rink. Jonah hoped she will like the next place that he planned on taking her. Jonah skated around the arena with amber enjoying every minute he was with her. Jonah attempted to do a trick so he slightly lift his right leg up and balance himself, unfortunately his legs kept wobbling and he got a little scared of falling and really hurting himself so he didn’t really lift his leg to high. “I really suck at this” Jonah said with a giggle, as he approached Amber with open arms. They had come to a full stop Jonah looked Amber in the eyes and flashed her a smile as he held her, everything seemed silent for only a minute, Jonah lowered his gaze onto Ambers lips and gently licked and bit his lip, he looked back into her eyes and as he leaned in his phone went off.

Jonah backed up slightly and pulled out his phone “hey” he said into the phone while looking down at the ice. “Everything is ready perfect, I’ll see you soon, Bye” Jonah hanged up his phone and looked at Amber and smiled, “it’s time to go,” Jonah said as he slowly skated off the rink holding onto Amber’s hand. Jonah sat on the bench and started to untie his skates. Jonah was wondering what was becoming of him, he was shocked that he looked Amber in the eyes and was about to kiss her, normally he would never look anyone in the eyes. Jonah hoped that Amber wouldn’t freak for trying to kiss her. It was in the moment he said to himself, maybe she would understand if he told her that. Jonahs thoughts ran wild in his head.

Jonah & Ambers Hot Date

Amber laughed and continue to slowly slate around. She kept her arms raised and out to her sides, doing her best to keep up her balance. Amber kept looking around to make sure Jonah was still close by. When he took her hand again, she smiled and looked up at him. Amber shook her head lightly, the smile staying on her face. "No, I don't mind. It's fine." Her voice was soft and quiet, but she was happy. She couldn't help but wonder if she heard her because she spoke so softly. She was only ever loud when she was hyper and she had finally calmed down. Being just one often kids was hard and being a middle child only made things worse. She squeezed his hand as she felt herself start to fall, but quickly caught her balance. She giggled. "If I fell just now, you would've fallen with me."

Amber kelt hold of his hand as they skated slowly. Each time she started to lose her balance, her grip got tigher but loosened up once she knew she wouldn't fall. She turned towards him and blew her fringe out of her eyes. "Oh, yeah," she said, stopping to think. "What's this other thing?" Her curiosity always got the best of her. "Y'know, I'd've been happy with just this."

Jonah smiled at the thought of falling again but this time with amber. Jonah moved closer to amber and whispered in her ear,” I would mind falling down with you.” Jonah slightly blushed he never would of thought he’d ever say that to anyone. Jonah looked at the other skaters, then back at Amber. They skated slowly hand in hand, time flew by and Jonah was really enjoying himself, just being here with Amber, with another person was nice. Jonah hadn’t gotten a chance to go out and do much, just sit in the nearest cafe and draw, or hang with friends but he still would be drawing.

As they skated Jonah would feel Ambers grip get tighter and then release, he couldn’t help but smile for some odd reason. They came to a stop and Jonah turned to face Amber, Jonah slightly tilted his head to one side, curious to know what amber is going to say. Jonah smiled “that’s a surprise” he giggled, “Let’s just say this place is special, and I want to share it with you.” Jonah wouldn’t normally open up to anyone it took a lot for him to remotely share something personal, so this was kind of big for him. Jonah pulled out his phone and started to text, he looked up at Amber and smiled while putting away his phone, another 10 minutes and then i think we should go, dont want to be late. He flashed her a wink and began to skate with a big smile on his face.

Jonah & Ambers Hot Date

Amber reached out and took both of his hands, using him to help herself get up off of the bench and stand somewhat balanced. She laughed at how unstable she felt already. “Ready as I’ll ever be,” she said, following him towards the arena. Amber already knew that it wouldn’t be long until she felt over. She had always been pretty clumsy, always walking into side tables and ever walls sometimes, but the lack of stability with her feet made everything even worse.

Amber, surprisingly, sort of got the hang of it pretty quickly. Her balance was still way off and she wobbled a lot, but she was doing okay with the whole not falling thing. She copied Jonah, pushing off and slowly following him. When he fell, she couldn’t help but giggle. “Are ya alright?” she smiled, skating over to him. She reached out her hands for him so he could help himself up. “Give me your hands.”

Jonah looked up and saw Amber giggling; he burst out laughing and reached for ambers hands and pulled himself up carefully, trying not to let amber fall down. Jonah blushed a little and scratched his head “thanks” he said looked slightly to the side still a little embarrassed, “look like I’m a bit out of practice.” He then started to skate; he was getting a little bit better within time. “Hey I’m getting the hang of this” he said with a smile to Amber.

Jonah went a little closer to amber and grabbed her hand, “hope you don’t mind i just wanted to hold your hand” his face flashed red with embarrassment. Jonah pulled out his phone with his free hand to check the time. He looked up and smiled shyly “it’s almost time” he said with a smile.
