Journal Entry #4

Today I finished up my notes for the note check, and found some pretty interesting information. I figured out that oil companies require giant areas to hold all of there fresh and contaminated water before and after the operations, and that in states all in the U.S. there have been cases of natural gas and methane seepage into communal water supplies, eventually getting to people’s homes. This has been somewhat eye-opening to me, only somewhat because i feel like the environmentalists might be making it out to be a lot worse than it seems.

Yesterday I got most of my notes done for the the journal check, and I’m happy to say that i’m pretty much positive that I will have plenty of information for my project. My idea for my final product is an info-graphic so far.

Journal Entry #1

Today I have changed my topic/question yet again to another subject involving oil. My new topic/question is now........ ‘fracking’! I have always been interested in this topic because there has all of a sudden, in the past few years, been a lot of controversy on this way of extracting oil and gas.
