I HATE asking for help, especially from strangers or non-family members, but this is a really hard time in my life. I thought my paycheck would be able to cover my bills for the month, but it’s A LOT less. I’m stuck in a position where I won’t be able to pay my rent or electricity bill. ya’ll know how much I hate asking for help. But I just recently lost my job, right after moving into an apartment, and now my last resort is to ask other people for help to pay my rent. The last of my money had to go towards my medical bill from being in a hospital from June 19th-24th.

I don’t know if this’ll help, but, to everyone who feels insecure or worried or upset over their towns:

Same. You are definitely not alone on this!

It’s kind of like an art (town decorating/themeing/ect is). You love it, have fun with it, but sometimes (or if you’re like me all the time) you get so lost in it that you can’t see the beauty of it anymore.

It’s kind of like the art process?? You have this glorious idea (or maybe you don’t have one at all!), and you just start scribbling over the canvas. A campsite here, a lighthouse there, trees way over yonder. You can see it coming into view: you’re getting closer to the final touches stages right before you make your DA. Or you’re stuck in the sketching process (QR code placements, deciding which things go where, moving villagers in and out; my town Marinia’s right there now!), or the lineart process (putting in trees, getting your house’s furniture and updates, plotting out dirt paths, Dik’s right here!) , or maybe you’re picking your towns “color palette” and still figuring out how to put in that final touch or get just the right “shade” of sunset/sunrise/weather. 

But it feels endless. Hopeless. Frustrating! Because you just can’t see past that screen you’re staring at, you’ve BEEN staring at, for weeks: months: years. Maybe you have ideas but they aren’t coming out (hello hands, are you listening? Brain speaking!!). Maybe you’re done but then the season changes and you think, gosh, now I need to redo it all over again. Or maybe you’re like me and change scares you, but you want to change and make your town “better” with a rehaul. Or maybe the thought of restarting your town is where you wanna go but you don’t at the same time because you spent years and you still have an original villager and UGH you can’t decide WHAT to do!

But your town is still beautiful just as it is !

Your down is YOURS! Maybe you think its kinda cheesy, or tacky, maybe the seasons don’t always blend well to you or you just can’t get the PWP/House Exterior you want and it’s driving you up the wall! It’s okay. Maybe it’s directionless 

Your town is still your own, something YOU made, like an art piece (sketch, painting, graphic, ect ect). Whether you hacked it or you did it within the game’s boundaries, it’s still YOUR town.

Your town is your own and that is wonderful. And if it’s not done yet, or you think it needs more, or you’re scared to change it? Don’t be! You are in control. Any mistakes can be fixed/incorporated, and any differences from the norm/what’s popular/ect just makes your town that much more “You.”

It’s hard seeing past your own “nose” (aka confines of the game/your own creativity/self criticalness/ect) but trust me when I say I haven’t seen a town I don’t like or find inspiring even if it’s as barren as a wasteland. Artists are our own worst critics; it’s definitely not as bad or awful as you think it is!

URGENT

I’m honestly in tears. I am incredibly upset, I am shaking, I am furious. I need this post to reach as many people as possible, because I want everyone to be aware about this and we need to work together to help bring this young girl home safely. I have a lot of followers so I’m hoping this will spread quickly so more people are aware of this.

This is Kennedi High. You may have seen her circling through your dashboard. She’s 16 years old and she has gone missing, and so far everyone has pieced together through her snapchat story that something is really, really wrong. She’s acting funny, and recently her snapchat story has been updated: “I’m with this other man and he telling me I’m never going back home to see my family.” A lot of people think this may be a case of sex trafficking, and it most likely is, and I’m honestly terrified for her. 

She’s originally from Baltimore, MD, though it’s said that she may currently be in the Mountain View California region. Please spread this if you can, reblog any other posts you find about her and get this story out. I’m absolutely sickened and shaken and I just want her to be safe. This is so important to me.

Not to mention, there’s been reports of over 64,000 black girls missing across the United States, and it’s most likely due to sex trafficking. 64,000 black girls. That’s just crazy. This is terrifying and needs more media coverage, this needs to be spread everywhere. We need to protect black girls. They need our help.

If you guys have any more information to add to this post or correct, please please feel free. I’ll try to add any other updates I find on the situation. In the meantime, if you can, please this reblog or any other posts relating to Kennedi and spread the word. Tell everyone about it. This needs everyone’s attention.

3DS Update: 11.3 Firmware Forced ACNL Update

Alright guys a new thing has occurred with the 11.3 firmware update, and that is ACNL now requires an update to even launch the game, and to even download the update, a firmware update is required first. This JUST started within the past ten minutes, because I just loaded a town for someone, then backed out to make an edit, re-saved the file, and tried to re-launch the game and got the notification just now. The rest of you will be seeing it soon, if you haven’t already. Meaning if you aren’t already on CFW and don’t plan to be, Nintendo is going to MAKE you update to 11.3 to play ACNL, and if you do so, or have already done so, you’re going to have to wait until 11.3 exploits are released (which could take a few months), before you will be able to convert to CFW, downgrade, edit your town, etc. Meaning you can’t play ACNL without updating, and if you update and you’re not already on CFW, then you can’t hack. Again, to recap, if you plan on converting to CFW, DO NOT UPDATE. If you are ALREADY on CFW, it is okay to update your system and continue about your business. Let me know if you have any issues. And, with this new development, if you aren’t already on CFW, you will be forced to update to 11.3, rendering you unable to use Soundhax and the ACNL Save Editor. AGAIN. The 11.3 update breaks Soundhax, downgrading, etc.  So. Pretty dick move, and I’ll update you guys as I am able. One last time, if you want to continue hacking, do not update. If you are unable to use CFW or do not understand how to get it installed, but you want to keep playing ACNL, you’re going to have to go ahead and suck it up, update, and wait for Soundhax and the other exploits to become available for 11.3 again.

For those wondering how to get CFW, go to 3ds.guide! It’s a good guide on getting AL9H, which means you’ll always be able to use homebrew without an exploit! Plus custom themes and other goodies. You are unlikely to brick your device, but still, when following the guide be extra careful just incase! Also for new3ds users …. Do Not Close Your 3DS While It’s On Firmware 2.1 You Will Get A Unrecoverable Brick. this is because there never was a firmware 2.1 causing the 3ds to panic if it gets to sleep the system.

Yes, this. AGAIN IF YOU TRY TO CONVERT TO CFW, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK. There IS a possibility of bricking your system during some of the steps, SO PLEASE READ CAREFULLY if you choose to attempt CFWing your 3DS. ALL of the dangers are explained VERY CLEARLY in the guide below. http://3ds.guide

The video tutorials not only become quickly outdated, but a lot of them are FILLED with misinformation (or outdated information like I said), and one YouTuber caused THOUSANDS of his followers to brick their consoles by giving them video instructions online not knowing fully what information he was giving out.

You MUST follow the text guide at http://3ds.guide if you wish to perform CFW edits to your 3DS software.

Hey Mischa! Don't panic! I have a hacked town a fully updated DS and have updated to 1.5 and my game still works fine! Europe actually got the 1.5 update prior to Christmas and at that we were forced to update to 1.5 as well. You were unable to launch the game unless you updated first but once you did worked fine and it still does now even after updating to 11.3. I hope this helps! Have a great day!

As weird as it is, that is exactly right. I have another copy which is unhacked that i can play fine. But id rather play my previous town and open that copy fine.

so unhacked towns work and hacked towns don’t. wow.

guys I’m freaking out a little right now too, but try to breathe and stay calm. we’re just learning about this, and more information will surface and we’ll get details soon. we’ll figure this out.
