(Snorlax loves eating, and what can I say? Donโt we all?! LOL! They are the perfect nicknames for it. The second nickname is a word fusion composed of โmunchโ and โmonsterโ. Itโs a clever pun and nickname!)
Bearbelly / Totoro / Bellymon / Bellymonster
(Snorlax is mostly known for having an enormous belly and appetite. And like the movie mascot โTotoroโ, from the Studio Ghibli films, Snorlax is also known to remain docile while children play on its stomach as it dozes off to sleep. As for the other two nicknames, they are wonderfully clean and efficient, i.e. they owe their origin to the fusion of the words โBellyโ with โmonsterโ. They both sound charming and clumsy โ but in a good way! Can you feel it in your belly?!)ย
Roadblock / Bearicade / Way Big / Big Ben
(LOL! This is deceptively brilliant! For instance, the former two nicknames take inspiration from the fact that Snorlax famously blocks roads and cannot be moved until a trainer wakes it up with the Pokรฉ Flute. They also sound more powerful than cute. The other two nicknames draw emphasis on the enormous size of Snorlax. They were inspired by the Ben 10 animated cartoon series! Did you also watch it growing up?)
Sleepyhead / Dozer
(These are such cute nicknames, and theyโre perfect if it knows the move โRestโ. To โdoze offโ is to sleep, and Snorlax sleeps a lot! Zzzz)
Yawna / Snorrisa / Snorey
(These nicknames still bear the โsleepโ theme, but they are more appropriate for a female Snorlax.)
Napโoleon
(This is a ridiculous pun, but I love it all the same! To โnapโ means to sleep, and โNapoleonโ is a real name, but we had to emphasise the โsleepyโ /ย โnapโ part of the name. Itโs a dumb joke, but Name Rater approves! Hoorah!)
Snorlax is often found in mountains and forests. It wakes up only to eat and seldom exercises. It is not a picky eater, as its strong stomach allows it to eat even mouldy food without feeling any ill effects.
When hungry, it is not satisfied until it consumes 900 pounds of food. Snorlax is docile enough to let children and small Pokรฉmon bounce on its large stomach.
