I don’t think this was something I talked about from sessions but I think it’s an appropriate time to say it now.

When I was talking to her I said “I can’t imagine how hard it must feel to be so vulnerable to so many people all the time” and she said “well honestly yes sometimes it’s hard with the media and everything but people like you guys, the fans, make it all worth it and I don’t worry about those things”

And I said “no I mean...I can’t imagine that it’s easy to be vulnerable but I want you to know that THAT is what makes you so easy to connect to...it’s what makes your music WORK. I just really want to thank you for doing that.” She looked at me like 🥺 and gave me a hug and said “thank you for saying that”

I’d like to think that support from us fans and having people who love her cheering her on gives her the strength to keep doing what she does even if it’s not easy: keeping an open heart to the world so that she can continue to allow music to connect to others ❤️
