Logan Lerman was the literal definition of right person wrong time for playing Percy in the movies xD

ANYWAYSSS words can not describe how excited I am for the new show 😭 This is what 12 year old me would have wanted. And if the show is not renewed for a 2nd, 3rd, etc season I will literally RIOT.

And PLS to y'all complaining, just because the cast is not book accurate doesn't mean it's not cute this cast has literally taken over my heart.

Abishek (no, I'm not calling him Shake - what weird ass shit is that) likes to talk about how he's "not in touch with his culture" or "not what people think Indians should be like" because he touched Deepti's feet, yet fails to understand that he is LITERALLY exactly like the stereotypical Indian Man. He comes across as a horndog who only cares about what his woman looks like, and not how she is as a person or what she's accomplished. He's the worst type of Indian man who only wants an arm piece and not an actual person, while he himself is very average looking.

I mean, he wants a young girl while he's in his 30s. He wants a "blonde" (AKA - FAIR SKINNED), and someone who is "tiny" enough for him to lift up. This man literally had greying hair and sounds like a 12 year old but okay. There are sooo many Indian men out there who have this type of superiority complex and who think they're better than women. He's literally that stereotype.

It's funny how this guy is so ashamed of his Indian heritage that he needs to shorten his name to a freaking verb, yet all of his values are exactly what bad parenting and upbringing does to an Indian guys ego.

The fact that literally 50% of the Eternals fanfiction on AO3 is Drukkari really shows what a missed opportunity it was to not give them more screentime xD

Marvel really slept on Druig and Makkari to focus on the absolute trainwreck that was Sersi x Ikaris. (PS - love Sersi though)

I get that they had to develop their relationship so that the climax would make sense, but I really wish they would have atleast introduced Makkari earlier so that we'd have a chance of getting more Drukkari content.

IDC what anyone says, Drukkari is one of Marvels best ships, along with Peter x MJ and I really hope there's a sequel where we can see more of them

This was literally the worst year for Love Island

Love Island UK - A guy who cheated on his partner by kissing multiple girls in Casa Amor and then LYING about it won. A white girl who verbally and aggressively abused her black partner and many others beat the black girl who was in the most compatible relationship. And let's not even get into the anti-black agenda shown by Aftersun. Started horribly, middle was great, ended horribly as usual.

Love Island USA - A last minute couple that was 100% faking their relationship just so they could stay in the competition won. The three couples who should have been in the finale got eliminated because the producers wanted to protect some dry bland white boy, who ended up coming in third place. Started great, ended horribly.

Love Island USA, you did well with Season 2. Love Island UK did well with Season 5. Everything after that just sucked.

Some of y'all forget that the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus books are meant for 12-14 year olds, and were written in the mid 2000s and early 2010s. Rick was obviously going to focus on the aspects that appeal to the majority of 12-14 year olds.

When I first read the books (around 10 years ago), it was my favourite series. Despite what Tumblr tells you, most children of that age don't over analyse books and characters and just enjoy what is presented to them.

I'm all here for good fandom analyses but let's not hate on the books for being too "childish" or not having enough "dark and serious moments" because the books are supposed to cater to the target audience, and they fit well in the time frame when they were written.

Annabeth, who has had no contact with Percy for the last 8 months, who doesn't even if know if he remembers her, after seeing him stand next to another girl in another camp: Hmm Jason and Piper became a thing, is it possible that this girl and.... actually no, she's too young, the vibe isn't like that, she probably has a thing for the other guy.

It's hilarious how most of the contestants know that Syed is a catfish, but don't care because they love him so much 😂

Hashu/Syed needs to win, I'd be gutted if he doesn't.

Watching The Circle UK (season 3) and I just have to say, as an Indian I absolutely love the Asian representation this season.

Hashu/Syed is the man carrying this show on his back, literally the best part about the show. I just neeeed him to win.

Vithun is an absolute sweetheart, and he's smart too. Everytime he gets emotional, my chest hurts because he has the power to make others empathize with him because he's just so genuine.

Manrika, my girl. I love her - she's playing the game really well while being herself. Seeing an Indian girl embrace her Indian roots on reality TV is such a rare concept that it just makes me love her more.

Side note - Hashu having a crush on Manrika but not being able to act on it has got to be the funniest shit in this show xD

All in all, a big improvement from season 2 in terms of the cast and diversity. We love to see it.

Percabeth antis give the same energy as authors of those " Percy joins/becomes chaos" fanfics from the 2010s....

You know, completely changing Annabeth's character in order to make her be mean to him, cheat on Percy, betray him, etc etc.

I get your point, but i think the fandom is referring more to the parts in HoO. For the incident in TLO, Percy had reasons to be mean towards Nico. However during the second series, Percy didn't treat Nico really well for stupid reasons. Nico played a big role in the Battle of Mahnattan, he convinced Hades to join the war. He redeemed himself. And i understand that Percy was angry with him because he didn't tell him who he was when they meet at camp Jupiter, but Nico did it to prevent a war. Percy was kind unsensitive with Nico in the second war, and he realized it himself after the trip in Tartarus with Bob. Anyway, i agree with the fact that our fandom forget a lot of things, for example with their relationship: it is pretty complex 'cause both of them have their flaus. I think they are equal with that ahaha...but the fandom totally reduces it to dumb and romanticized stereotypes.

Ps. I really don't think that Nico was mad at Percy for his crush...Nico blamed himself for his mistakes and feelings most of the times

Even during the second series, Percy was never mean to Nico. In the Son of Neptune, they barely interacted and when he got his memories back, he had valid reasons to be pissed off at Nico. They only interacted at the end of MoA, and Percy in no way treated him poorly. He was pretty nice to him, and was just relieved that they were able to save him in time. In the HoH, he was grateful to Nico and was thanking him, but Nico was the one who wasn't willing to talk to him properly (again, I understand this was because of Nico's recently revealed feelings towards Percy). Percy wasn't even insensitive towards him - I just re-read the books and I literally couldnt find any moment where he treated him poorly. In fact, he and Hazel were probably the only members of the 7 who weren't creeped out by him. And, Percy always appreciated Nico. He never thought Nico was useless - both in PJO and HOO.

The fandom seems to think that Percy never treated Nico well, but after re-reading PJO and HoO, it's more often Nico who treated Percy badly (for no reason too).

Percy was never mean to Nico. In fact, he always wanted to protect him, especially after Bianca. The only time Percy was mean to him, was when Nico had literally lied to him and tricked Percy and gotten him captured by Hades. If you ask me, that's a pretty valid reason to be mean lol.

Also, Nico was wrong for being angry at Percy for Bianca's death. I know, he was only a 10 year old and he had to put his anger onto someone, which is why I still sympathize with him even though Percy didn't deserve that anger. And, Nico hating Percy because Percy didn't like him isn't valid....Percy wasn't even aware of Nico's sexual orientation, and Nico had never given Percy any indication that he had a crush on him. According to Percy, Nico hated him.

I really like Nico, but I think at this point the fandom has kind mixed up his character and forgotten alot of things that happened in the original PJO series. Percy was literally always trying to be a big brother to Nico, and I wish people would stop erasing that.

People really call Korra annoying because she's loud, arrogant, and sassy, but then proceed to love Toph for the exact same reasons?? Toph was mean, sarcastic and cocky but people called her the best part of ATLA. Why did the same people hate Korra for that lol.

Both characters are great. It's time we stop expecting main characters who are females to be "perfect" all the time. If you can love Toph for being the way she is, you have no right to say that Korra is the "worst Avatar" because she was arrogant at the beginning of the show.

Was this ever addressed by Percy, Annabeth or Calypso? I haven't read the Trials of Apollo, so I don't really know.
