The Continental gets new trailer, releases September 22

A new trailer has been released for The Continental, which is set to release September 22, 2023.

The three-part event will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott, as he’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970’s New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne.

I started writing on this show in 2019. We persisted through the pandemic, never gave up despite the challenges. Now it’s in the wild, and it’s WILD. Check in to our bloody hotel, now.

Years in the making! SHANTARAM season one premiered on Apple TV last night. Starring the exquisite Charlie Hunnam, Shubham Saraf, Antonia Desplat, Alexander Saddig -- among many others. Created by the inimitable Steve Lightfoot, the show is a sprawling epic based on the autobiographical novel by Gregory David Roberts.

Given that we started writing season one just as the pandemic hit -- and then started shooting during monsoon season -- producing SHANTARAM has been a truly herculean international labor of love, made possible by a cast and crew that never threw in the towel. So proud of each and every person who worked on this.

If you haven't read the book -- it's part crime thriller, part love story, part redemption plot, part comedy, part education plot, part travelogue. While that might seem like a lot, as the author wrote: "Anything that can be put in a nutshell should remain there.” No matter who you are, when you watch the show you're guaranteed that it will speak to you on many levels. Enjoy.
