sheâs more than happy for matty and his new life updates, but a part of byeol is toxically jealous and sad about his newfound success and happiness without her. she squashes it down immediately, though. a small smile spreads on her lips. itâs too bad she missed his graduation â something they both always thought theyâd experience together. â a masters, wow. thatâs really awesome. â he was always smarter than her. byeol clears her throat. â i think iâll be going back to school too. community college, probably. iâve missed out on a lot of stuff since iâve been gone. â the blonde shrugs sheepishly. â oh, and dye my hair back to brown. this blonde is definitely not my style, ha. â
matty nods as byeol responds, unable to ignore the feeling of his heart being squeezed; he had always imagined going through school as byeol had become a global phenomenon, eventually moving to korea to live with her, & unfortunately, only he had been able to accomplish exactly what he had planned out. â community college is good !! itâll be a good way to ease back into things. you should already have a few credits from when we took classes together back in high school, right ?? â he had felt himself slipping up but, at risk of stammering & making things even more awkward, matty had just let himself finish his sentence. we. back in high school, when matty & byeol were still a âweâ. â i-- er, i think you look really nice. but i can imagine it probably hurts your scalp, all the bleach and all. â heâs sure that his face is red, & if it isnât, then heâs grateful that the fire that heâs feeling along his cheeks isnât showing externally.
