The fact that the last time Homura felt Madoka’s real warmth was the end of the main show. Then the next time was when she ripped her from the heavens.

She spent so long trying to convince herself she was ok. That she would fight for Madoka’s wish, no matter what. Then the second she felt her touch again, it all went away.

I will never blame Homura Akemi. She really was just lonely. So lonely she ascended and stole a god from her post.
