Here’s a tip: if you want to talk to someone on here, have something to say. If you start a conversation with “hi” and “how are you” and “that’s cool” if I reply, you’re giving me nothing to work with. It comes off like you’re barely interested in the message you’re sending, so why would someone want to engage with that?

Like, think about how that would be irl. Someone you don’t know comes up to you at a party, they try to start a conversation but have nothing to say and aren’t putting any effort into holding up their end of the chat. Are you going to want to put the effort in? How about the 50th time it happens?

If you’re messaging someone, think about why? Do you think they’re cool and want to be their friend? Are you trying to flirt with them? Do you think just saying “hey” is really going to catch their interest and set you apart? Do you really think you’re doing anything but setting yourself up for disappointment with that? You don’t need to wow someone with a perfect opening remark, you don’t need to overthink it. Just show an interest in them as a person, share some of yourself and try to get to know them. It’s not always going to work, but it’s better than setting yourself up for rejection with “hey… how are you?… that’s cool…”

Fatsexual.

It's a good term.

And it describes my sexuality perfectly.

I used to define myself as asexual, with the one exception being extremely obese men.

As I got older, I thought, "there has to be a term for this... no interest in sexuality unless it involves morbid obesity..."

And "fatsexual" covers it.

I'm sure many others know exactly what I'm talking about. The feeling of not being sexual unless it involves obesity.

And I think the term should be used more. Fatsexual is a good umbrella term. I'll use tags like #feedism , even when it's not really something directly related to it. I only use it since it refers to the community. But not everyone is a feeder or feedee. Some of us just love fat or enjoy hedonism where fat is a consequence.

So I'm going to use it in my vocabulary more often: fatsexual. It just works.
