I’ve been back in Scotland receiving my honorary doctorate from my old drama school in Glasgow, which is all still a little surreal to me. Dr. Richard Madden sounds a little like - well, a dick. I’ve been curious - do I change the name my bills so that they’re posted to Dr. Madden? Is that what I get written on my coffee cup from now on? I still don’t know what’s happening!

I honestly cannot deal with some of the awesome, kick-ass women I’ve met over the past few years; Awkwa, Ali, Mindy, Michelle… everyone makes me laugh so damn hard. I’ve been binge-watching SNL and gotta say, my sides are aching with how much laughing I’ve done these past thirteen hours.

Can never go wrong with binge watching some SNL. Can’t even pretend that when I got to host wasn’t one of the best days. Though thirteen hours I’m afraid it’d be more then an ache but full on pain. I’ve done that with some of the stuff Ellen has on her show when I’m bored out of my bloody mind and it gets to the point it hurts to breathe.

Yes well that is true crazier things have happened. I understand though, I think we all needed some time after the ending. We all took it very hard I mean it was our lives and then it just ended. I’m doing very well just staying busy as ever and enjoying the time I’ve got off.

We still need time, filming might have finished last year but the show just officially ended. Aside from the fact they want us to appear at Comic Con next month and award season. It’s not fully done for us until those are over. Can’t say that I’m going to Comic Con yet, haven’t made the decision. It’s why I went and got help, I thought I could handle it better than I did and I ended up handling it far worse. It probably didn’t help with the divorce happening around the same time. Good, good. Glad to hear you’re off enjoying yourself, love. Heard you’re on a bit of a road trip, go crazy, have a little fun. It’s all needed sometimes.

I’d just rather stay away in case you do get mad. See, I heard that’s what happens when people work out regularly, it’s what two of my bandmates keep telling me too, but like.. working out takes a lot of effort. I’m too fucking lazy.

Good point, guess it would depend on what’s in the box. Breakables I would try and prevent from getting thrown across the room, that’d just make more damn clean up. It’s just our natural way to get protective over people. Don’t worry, it takes a lot to actually piss me off. That is what happens, par for the course. With working out as much as I did, I don’t know if I could start not working out. It’d drive me crazy so even though I don’t have to, or at least don’t have to as intensely, I probably still will. I usually am at the gym between 4 to 5 in the morning so I’m guessing I’m deemed crazy in your book.

I’m not blaming you for caring about her that much. You get protective of your friends, I’m the same. Of course.. I’m not nearly as buff as you probably are, so I’d rather not get on your bad side. Uh, think I moved here about six weeks ago.

It’s probably not a pretty image of myself. You might wanna try bleaching your brain out. I mean I don’t know that I’d throw ever box but I’ve been known to have a temper. It’s possible if I got irritated enough. In hindsight, I’m protective of all the girls I worked with on the show. Emilia, Sophie, Maisie, Nathalie, any of them really, it’s just out of them I’m closest to Millie. The buff only comes from constantly working out, had to, or I would have died under the weight of the costumes I had to wear for the show. So you’re pretty new to town too.

I wish I could tell you that’s about right, but I’m a horrible procrastinater, so that really isn’t me at all. I just rather go out and not unpack for a long time. I think I’d still be living in a maze of boxes if I hadn’t gotten sick at running into them and chasing the dogs through the maze. I promise I’ll make sure she’s okay. Is this one of those ‘you harm her I kick your ass’ kinda things? Because, I gotta admit the thought of Jon Snow kicking my ass is.. a little intimidating. That’s about why I came to Royal too, figure why not and so far it has turned out to be a really great place.

Don’t get me wrong I can procrastinate with the best of the, but only on certain things. This is not one of them I’d get annoyed and end up punting the boxes across the room. I’m sure the dogs loved the maze though. You know, basically that’s what it is. Don’t take it personal, even some of my best mates would get that speech if she was with them. She’s been my best mate for ten years gotta make sure she survives to see next week. You know I’ve trained enough, it’s possible. How long you’ve been here?

It’s just easier to get everything done and taken care of then letting it go till the last minute. The longer it takes the longer it’s me having to clean up. Good, as long as she arrives back safely we’re cool. I think so, it was needed. After a few things in the last year I just needed something new and somehow I heard about this place, figured why not.

Don’t want those claustrophibic feelings to aunt ya, man. Nah, this is more of a vacation, not work. Kidnapped Emilia to go on a road trip. But you don’t worry, we’ll try not to get lost. Royal’s a great place to lean back and relax. In the short time I’ve been here, that’s definitely what I’ve learned.

That too, who wants to trip over boxes and end up breaking their neck. It’s definitely more the claustrophobic feelings. I’m sure I’ll have it all done in another day or two since I tackled my closet. Emilia? As in Emilia Clarke, alright well enjoy yourselves but bring her back in one piece, she’s my best mate. That’s what I’m here for relaxation. After everything I think we’ve earned it.

Yeah…my wife…well, ex-wife has our house in Denmark. That is why I made the decision to move here. Maybe it was because my daughters were here and I just didn’t get any. It will be a long process.Especially as there is quite a few of us from the show here.

Looks like we’re both welcoming ourselves into the ex-husbands group. Good to know. Not so bad though, fresh starts are usually a good thing. It’ll be good to figure out life away from the show, don’t get me wrong, I loved it, but it’s time to figure out how to live without it.
