@korutori
Well damn already one year!
I could have normal hobbies like everybody else but no, Windows 95 running on an emulated AMD K6-2 calls to me.
Anyway, check out 86Box, it's really cool
I recently reinstalled Arch on my PC and decided to give Openbox a shot.
I'm really happy with how it turned out, it's exactly what I wanted: the menus, the windows, the shadows, the way everything fits together is just so nice.
I wanted to give a certain kind of retro aesthetic to it and I think I did a pretty good job.
The theme I used is called 1977 Openbox, I edited it in order to make the window titlebar a little smaller and give it a different color. The shadows were made using picom and setting shadow-radius to 0, with the offset set to 7 on both the X and Y axis. The panels at the top of the screen are 3 different Tint2 panels which start at the same time when logging in. The terminal is Kitty and the font is called SpaceMono Nerd Font. There are also a few scripts I wrote in order to use special buttons and shortcuts on my keyboard to manage volume, players and screenshots using wpctl, playerctl and scrot.
I am so proud of this, I think I'll enjoy using it.
I was able to install (and boot) the first version of Mac OS X on my MacBook running macOS 14.
It was only an experiment to see if I could actually do it but man this got me so excited.
I figured out the hardware settings required to start it on my own, but the mouse and keyboard would not get recognized by the VM. So I looked around and found this great GitHub repository containing a lot of UTM VMs already configured for use and how to use them. Thanks adespoton!

So. I bought a M1 MacBook. I admit, it was more of a treat, something that I bought because I wanted it and not because I needed it...kinda. (My previous MB's battery is getting old) But out of sheer luck I found a very good deal on this one and I found it hard to pass.
I have been hearing about these laptops for a while now, hearing about how fast they are, how powerful they are etc. But I never actually experienced it for myself, having only seen them in stores basically. And holy moly they were not lying.
Everything is buttery smooth, there's no hiccups anywhere and everything loads at the speed of light. It is definitely not my first time using a fast and powerful PC but I was still surprised. But most of all, the battery life. It's been a few days since I last charged it at 100% and I only used like 35% of the battery, I still have a solid 65% left. It is actually black magic. All of this without any noise, the fans are literally turned off but the laptop still sits comfortably at like 40°C.
I am amazed at the capabilities of the ARM CPU inside this thing and honestly at this point I don't even know if it will actually get used properly while in my possession.
That's it. That's all I wanted to say. My rambling ends here.
It is spoopy time
I finished Final Fantasy VII :)
What a great game, I am so, so happy to have finally played it
Now all the operating systems I use have the same neofetch look.
While I had a lot of fun playing around with the config files in i3, I still missed having an actual desktop with floating windows. So I made a backup of the aforementioned config files and completely reinstalled Arch, this time using KDE Plasma.
Any resemblance to other operating systems is purely coincidental.
great job everyone lets hit the showers
Not again
gentle reminder that you can’t get this kind of nonsense from any other site
it always comes back to skyrim somehow.
Today's Linux update: I customized the neofetch interface
Some days are proof that the magic man we call god does not fucking exist and today is one of them
