oak :  who  would  your  muse  consider  the  strongest  person  they  know  ?

that’s  a  good  question  because  i  typically  imagine  shunsui  seeing  every  individual  as  strong  in  their  own  way.  though  as  a  way  of  judgement,  shunsui  would  consider  those  who  have  gone  through  immense  loss  but  still  continue  the  great  fight  of  life  as  those  who  are  the  strongest,  both  in  mind  and  body.  he  admires  people  who  suffer  but  continue  to  give  their  all  despite  the  damages  before  them.

violet :  how  does  your  muse  respond  to  betrayal ?

shunsui  tends  to  be  very  level-headed  and  does  well  to  not  let  his  emotions  get  the  better  of  him.  after  all,  he’s  a  very  duty-bound  shinigami  who’s  willing  to  put  his  life  on  the  line  for  the  safety  of  others,  and  he  can’t  afford  to  make  errors  in  judgement  due  his  emotional  side  because  of  what  it  might  cost  him.  shunsui’s  a  very  melancholy  person  in  my  eyes,  and  smiles  all  the  while  if  only  because  he  shoulders  the  responsibility  that  comes  with  being  a  captain  (  and  later,  captain-commander  ).  he’s  never  quite  been  given  his  right  to  mourn  over  his  losses,  and  responding  to  a  betrayal  of  his  trust  would  likely  be  no  different.

zinnia :  how  has  the  loss  of  fallen  comrades  and  /  or  loved  ones  affected  your  muse  ?  has  it  taught  them  anything  or  given  them  any  new  perspectives  ?

the  only  thing  i  ever  wanted  for  shunsui  as  a  character  is  to  see  him  be  allowed  to  grieve  and  let  himself  heal.  i  kind  of  think  that  subconsciously,  he  grieves  in  little  ways  and  this  gives  way  to  when  i  mentioned  above  as  me  seeing  shunsui  as  a  very  melancholy  person,  though  he  does  his  best  not  to  let  it  get  him  or  others  down.  i  do  feel  as  if  during  the  blood  war,  shunsui  was  one  of  the  persons  to  have  been  hit  hardest  by  the  losses  and  post-war  he  still  does  not  come  to  grieve,  not  completely  at  least.  he  does  and  always  has  believed  that  all  life  is  precious  and  this  also  plays  on  his  strong  distaste  for  fighting;  nonetheless  he  is  bound  by  duty  to  do  what  must  be  done,  if  not  for  his  strength  in  character  but  for  the  good  of  others  as  well.

I am fr panicking at the moment as the hotel me and my partners have been living at for 3/4 months now is trying to kick us out over some small ass bed damage or pay $600 to fix it. :))) I have epilepsy triggered by stress so whEWW, I am trying to calm down right now.

       a-yeong kept her eyes down as his words were heard  but she took them too heart more then anything else.   her hands gripped her pants fabric, sucking in her bottom lip as even mentioning the past made her think about it and made every part of her body hurt.    her mistakes played back in her head so often;  she should have noticed something was up with sosuke.  she should have tried harder to fight and defend herself during the war.  tears burned in her eyes as she continued to think about it before they fully escaped when he said to be strong and place a hand on her shoulder.

  she broke down fully and placed her forehead against his chest, all her tears falling to paint the ground and feet below her.  “ i..i am not strong, captain. “  her voice managed to come out without her sobs between them.  “ i get.. so sad just thinking about the past.  i want to be happy… just to remember the good things.. but i barely can’t.  i haven’t even be alive for long  ..  and everything hurts.. “ a free hand  gripped her chest,  above her heart - right were aizen left a scar when he betrayed all the months ago.  

he wasn't  the  type  to  tell  others  to  stop  crying.  he’d  never  allow  himself  the  same  courtesy,  though.  he  must  now  lead  by  example.  as  her  tears  begin  to  fall,  the  hand  is  accompanied  by  the  other  before  gently  bringing  her  in  for  a  warm  caress,  canting  his  head  down  just  slightly  as  a  sign  of  acknowledgement.  his  expression  remained  melancholy.  he  lets  her  speak  entirely  before  piping  up,  gently.  

❛❛  but  you  are  strong.  you’re  still  standing,  aren’t  you ?  ❜❜  he  chose  his  words  carefully,  and  a  chuff  leaves  lips  as  they  grew  into  a  weak  smile;  the  same  smile  he  always  wore,  but  somehow  different.  hands  gently  rub  and  pat  her  back.  ❛❛  it’s  okay  to  cry,  it’s  what  makes  us  feel  better.  but  i  don’t  want  you  to  let  your  past  define  you.  it’ll  only  bring  you  pain.  cry  for  now,  but  shine  tomorrow.  ❜❜

❛❛  ah !!  halloween  already ?  ❜❜  it  wasn’t  very  unheard  of  for  holidays  to  sneak  up  on  him.  luckily  he  had  made  a  few  purchases  of  some  variety  before  he’d  inevitably  forget  again.  he  hadn’t  the  time  to  fashion  them  into  goodie  bags,  so  a  small  handful  of  ramune  candies,  konpeito  and  a  meiji  chocolate  bar  was  what  want  given  to  his  festive  company.  jushiro  would  always  receive  a  little  more  from  him  every  year,  unbeknownst  to  the  rest  of  the  seireitei.

❛❛  ichigo !  and  here  i  was  worried  you’d  forgotten  about  us.  ❜❜  after  the  war,  things  had  calmed  down  drastically.  though  the  gotei  thirteen  was  still  at  work,  it  was  more  of  stand-by  advancements  to  be  prepared  for  any  future  situation.  it  almost  put  his  mind  at  ease.  the  smile  on  his  face  is  humble,  tired,  warm.  seeing  ichigo  was  like  a  breath  of  fresh  air.  ❛❛  how  have  you  been ?  is  the  world  of  the  living  treating  you  well ?  ❜❜
