What you’re doing is fetishizing and really gross. Asian men are not here for your consumption. And you’re gifsets are problematic af.
Dear anon, I am not gifsets, I am a girl. Did you just assume my gender? Jokes aside and assuming you meant your gifsets, would you care to explain what makes them problematic? Please give me an example and reasons why it constitutes a problem, and I’ll gladly discuss with you. “What you’re doing is fetishizing and really gross.” What is gross? The scope of what is considered gross is relative to culture and time. In some cultures it is still “gross” to be gay, have sex before marriage or to watch pornography. You portray your own point of view as universal and absolute. It could be argued whether or not my blog fulfill all the criterion to be considered “fetishizing” in nature. Am I excessively and irrationally devoted to Asian men? My fascination with Asian men is not irrational. I have provided reasons for my attraction in older posts on my blog. If anything, I felt a great sense of mental clarity when the Western veil of Asian male desexualization was lifted and I finally saw the appeal of Asian men. Is my devotion excessive? Who defines the demarcation between excessive and reasonable? “Obsessed is a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated”, right? It seems to depend a lot on perspective. What I consider a reasonable amount may be excessive to you.
Let us, for fun, accept my blog as a fetish blog. Is fetishizing inherently bad? As long as the fetish doesn’t actively hurt somebody or require something unhealthy (like anorexia or feeding fetish), I don’t see the problem with it. Do I think it’s okay for women to stalk or rape Asian men? Of course not. But what is the worst thing that can happen when girls have a strong preference for traits that are common in Asian men? If the guy doesn’t like it, he can reject her. I think he’ll live. Fetishes also pour intense love onto features that are underappreciated by the mainstream notion of beauty. Fetishes and strong preferences reveal that beauty is not monochrome and simply defined. It is oddly reassuring that there are always people out there who will love, even worship, the parts of you that you see as flaws. You got small breasts? There is a fetish for that. Big, heavy breasts? A fetish for that too. And the more people “fetisize” something, the more likely it will become a new category on porn sites. It would make more people discover the appeal of that fetish, increasing the demand of it. A higher demand may affect the casting of TV shows and movies, which would allow more diverse beauty on screen. A good thing, in my opinion.
“Asian men are not here for your consumption.” Asian men do look delicious, but if I promise not to eat them and only consume Asian cum, can we still be friends then?
When I read this I was speechless and impressed. Tumblr asked me if I wanted to add something to this post….No…this response is perfect the way it is.
