What is Kingdom and how can we write together?
Hold up hold up, alright? I know what you’re thinking. What the hell is this show, why don’t I know about it and how the hell should I be able to write with a couple of guys I don’t even know anything about?
the TL;DR version of Kingdom is this:
The story of a family in Venice, Los Angeles California who all are associated with MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighting. Father Alvey Kulina - a legend in the fighting world on his own, oldest son Jay - a professional fighter, youngest son Nate and then the people around them. That includes their junkie mother, Christina, who left the family when the boys were teenagers, another fighter straight out of prison named Ryan, his ex Lisa - who is dating Alvey now - and a wide array of other people, fighters and just friends. The story circles around them, their family problems, social issues, and primarily MMA fighting and that world in general. It’s how they make their living, it’s their passion and their whole lives.
So how can you and I write together?
Well, if your muse has, in any way, a modern verse - then we can write together. I’m open for all kinds of cross fandom interactions, all kinds of dynamics, I’m open for OCs and canons alike - anything goes. I am more than willing to talk and plot, your muses do not have to come fight or even train in their gym - so don’t be scared about that! They can just be normal friends. And hey, if they invite you to come watch them fight, there’s always a kick-ass after-party at Jay and Nate’s place.
If you’re at all interested in the characters, don’t be scared!
The blog is low activity because I know that interactions in general will probably be sparse, but that’s completely fine with me. If you’re down with that as well, then yeah. Tug my sleeve. Let these boys win over your heart. You won’t regret it, I promise.
Oh and, if you’re at all into modern shows with lots of drama, great writing and gritty realness, you should watch Kingdom if you’re at all able to.
