So i've decided to join Art fight again, but unfortunately for me i am not able to find more time to draw. And it has been a whole year since i draw some digital stuff. Sad story. :')

Can you put a hide over an articulated skeleton
If you mean like using the skeleton as the base for a taxidermy mount you can, but you also have to rebuild the muscle structure or else it’ll look ‘odd’ haha.
Before the use of modern taxidermy forms, mounts were build from the ground up utilizing the skeleton of the animal. The skeleton was positioned, then coated in clay or plaster to build up the muscle structure to then be cast like so:
Other mounts were made by positioning the skeleton then wrapping it with twine to build up the muscle structure. They would use the skull or parts of the skeleton and sometimes mummified parts of the animal as the base then wrap and plaster them together to make a proper body shape:
These methods are still used today, especially to make more unique looking pieces for taxidermy competitions. Most people however opt out to using the commercial forms and use the skeletons for other purposes.
