I think it's time for me to pack it up. I created this blog to make friends and connect with people. But this has only made me feel more alone. Demonstrating friction fire lighting. Nothing more satisfying than putting those primitive skills to use.

What is this bald-headed fellow getting ready to do?  On the far left you can see his friction-fire bow.  Next to that is a small rock he found that has a ¼ inch natural hole in it–this is his upper socket.  You can barely see the end of the spindle behind his right hand.  Between his hands is the fireboard.  Notice that he has about 8 or so sockets already drilled into this fireboard.  He’s started a lot of fires with this one!  The bald guy is me, on the banks of the Tippecanoe River.

I never learned how to make fire by friction. What a useless human I am if I can’t even make fire without ferro rods or lighters. If I can find the right DRY wood imma see if I can nail it before the end of the week.
