🪔Just a reminder that this December, I'll be teaching a new class called Orphic Realms: An Introductory Course to Intuitive Tarot, a three week workshop I'm doing with @dreamhivenyc starting December 2th! Although it's a beginner friendly class and that we'll touch on Tarot as a system, the class will provide a solid framework for people interested in developing a more intuitive approach to the Tarot. Yesterday I spend the afternoon reading Dicta Dimitriadis biography of Mademoiselle Lenormand and combing through the actual books Lenormand wrote and her adventures as she read cards and palms to the "big wigs" of the French Revolution. It's so funny, she went at least three time in jail! Even cooler, I read the actual account of her personal relationships with Josephine de Beauharnais and the several time she read cards and palm to Napoleon. What's funny to me, is that Lenormand went several time in the Chateau de la Malmaison to read cards to the Empress, a caslte I know very well, since I grew up exactly there, in Rueil Malmaison. We used to visit every year with our school. I have been in the same room, as Lenormand read cards 🎉🎈I believe she did in Josephine's pink bedroom, as her memoirs talk about a time in which Josephine was still in her "house dress", which probably was as lavish as a ball gown. This January, join me for a four weeks apocalyptic marathon of historical tarot and divination cards in my signature "Death and Resurrection as Muse" class! Ill be (hopefully) in France for a bit and I'm doing a class on Saturday at 5pm french time / 10am EST! This four weeks online class is focus on the Majors Arcanas of the Tarot and how we can use the narrative of this sequence to reignite our creativity. The course includes a complete overview with tarot through the lense of art and history, creative assignments and daily journaling prompts. Here is in continuing on my recent meditation between the Suit of Coins, gold and agricultural metaphores linked to the month of October which I've been recently interested in. The 6th emblem from the Atalanta Fugiens shows a man sowing coins of gold in a field and is associated with this latin motto "Seminate aurum vestrum in terram albam foliatam" [Sow Your Gold in the white foliate Earth.] - the epigram from this emblem reads as "The farmers entrust their seed to the fat earth. After having foliated it with their mattocks. The philosopher have taught that gold must be scattered over white fields Which react like a light leaf. When you undertake this, pay good attention to it, For from the wheat you see, as in a mirror, that gold germinates."
