Last September I had the huge honor to grab my camera and jump into the beautiful waters of the Queensland coast with one of the legends of surfing, @owright. I had not had a chance to shoot a lot of surfing before that day so I was maybe a bit nervous. Then there was this very poisonous sea snake at the beach just before we went in. And I tried not to think about the Aussie sharks, swimming around in my black wetsuit and fins looking like a tasty seal. But while I was in the water fighting the waves and currents to be in a good spot to get some shots of Owen I had the very, very best time! After a crazy career as a pro surfer (read about it!) Owen Right retired from the World Surf League Tour a few days ago at Bells Beach. Looking forward to seeing what will come next from him.

I had a very small window of opportunity to get some shots of the legendary @kilianjornet for a @moonlightmountaingear campaign last fall just before the snow came. Taking out the slowest camera I own to take photos of the fastest trailrunner out there maybe made me a bit nervous but it felt so good to know I would create something unique before going back to my digital camera to get the „normal“ shots. So these five frames are definitely very special to me. One more I‘ll share tomorrow … Shot on Leica M6 and Kodak Portra 800.

A video to celebrate and announce the collaboration of Moonlight Mountain Gear and one of the greatest ultra runners of all times, Kilian Jornet.

This was all filmed on the West Coast of Norway, the home of both Moonlight and Kilian.

I am really happy to share this little film that I shot last summer in Hamburg for Riese & Müller. It‘s about the founder of Hamburg’s legendary Playground Coffee Veljko Tatalovic. He‘s a great guy, roasts amazing coffee with his team and his café in St. Pauli is definitely worth a visit. But see for yourself and feel free to share the film if you like it.
