Ok ok last post for a while. These 2 blocks along with several others from across our country will be put together as a few quilts for a few special recipients after they have been sewn together quilted and binded. These are my 2 I made. I’m pretty new at quilting but by golly I’m proud of me!! I still have to square them up.. It would have been easier and nicer if I had a nice Juki but. Ok ok another honor for Hispanic Cuture! Here is a small fun fact about The best selling Rock Band of ALL time.. El Grupo Mana! 🎼Hoy te voy a besar! 🎵🎶 De los pies a la cabez! 🎶🎵. 🎼 Today I will kiss you🎵🎶 From your head to your toes! 🎶🎵 (yes sentences flip in English some) Grupo Mana!!! Mexican Country Rock band! 😍 it wouldn’t let me add the accent mark over the last A. There name came from the Polynesian term: Positive Energy ♥️ The group formed in 1986 and released their first album in 1990. But my favorite Album is called “Donde Jugarán Los Niños” {Where will the children play} released in 1992 when I was 17!! {geez showing my age here🤪} They sold over 10 million records world wide and 700,000 in USA alone. They have won almost every award you can think of. And still going strong today… Just Imagine them being the English version or comparison to: Guns & Roses, The Rolling Stones, Led Zepin & Black Sabbath just to name a few. Hispanics has countless other rock bands but Mana is on the top of my list. They were born in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico.
