rpalarae:
It wasn’t that Sasha needed someone to think that the tatzelwurm was real. He didn’t. He really, really, didn’t, and he didn’t need this stranger to think it especially. But on a bad day, hearing that it’s just stories and crosses the line and being called a thing? He turned slowly, staring at the man with a glare that could peel paint from the wall, crumble the drywall, and then bring the house down. For some reason, the fact that he didn’t get to glare down for once didn’t help in the least.
There was a moment of heavy silence and then he turned fully toward him, taking a deep, angry breath. “What the fuck exactly makes you think that an otter can have a duck bill and venom and a cat with a fucking snake tail is out of the goddamn question?” He was moving forward without really thinking, but he was already pretty close to begin with. He was pushing the man back, forcing himself into his space and again irritated that he wasn’t towering over him. “You’re chill with a whale that has a horn on it’s face that science has no idea what they use it for, but something that fucking goes bump in the night can’t be real?”
It felt like Adrian’s heart was about to burst out of his chest form fear of this guy’s passion for fairytales. He wasn’t looking for a fight in the slightest, he usually found that people would shrug him off and say “Well, lets agree to disagree,” or even something along the lines of “Alright, sure whatever, you’re wrong but whatever,” but this was the first time he talked about something so clearly fake that someone got almost literally up in arms. He also turned, just wanting to be able to put his arms up to defend himself form him and take a step away from him. “Alright, so you don’t agree with me. That’s fine, but there’s no reason to get hypercritical.”
For whatever reason though, his mouth blurted out what could have been the worst thing at that moment before his mind could tell him, ‘Shut up you idiot, you’re about to get beaten into the ground,’ which was, unfortunately a common occurrence. “But I will say that a reptile and a mammal’s biology just doesn’t mix like that.” He bit his tongue from continuing on from that point.
It didn’t take more than a second for someone to come between them. The short blond man that had taken his order and hadn’t given him the time of day for trying to strike up the same conversation. Funny though, he thought he’d just seen him on the other side of the counter. His arms grabbed onto the shoulders of the taller man, shaking him into place and returning the glare with icy blue eyes. “Go upstairs, Sasha. Kano wants to talk to you.” He gestured to the back door with his nose, urging him out of the situation.
rpalarae:
“Yeah, no, I don’t know what you want,” Ruby shrugged. “Buuuut, if you tell me, I bet I can get it. Just be a little more specific than ‘that’ and we’ll see what we can do. Work together. It’ll be beautiful.”

“I’m sorry, I don’t know the name for them. The small ones, they’re round with wide petals but not a lot of them. I think it starts with a p.” Marc described the best he could, shaping his hands in a small, silver dollar sized sphere to show that he meant something that looked like a poppy.

Another scathing look was cut her way, Sasha’s body tensed to run, but somehow still relaxing as she scratched through his hair and ran a hand down his back. “This is just cause you’re warm when you’re like this,” he grumbled. She certainly wasn’t warm when she was a giant fucking squid, and he envied the fact that she seemed to actually be able to create heat. With another small frown, he shifted a little closer, practically melting into her side. (But begrudgingly, of course.)
“Oh, of course. You’re the big guy. Wouldn’t dream of you being any type of soft around me.” She cooed lovingly, pouting her lips in some form of warm, friendly mocking to him. Her fingers were quick and seemingly liquid in the way they moved over him. She had been used to moving without bones before, but that didn’t mean she had to move like she had them. It made for a good massage for whoever sat in front of her and Sasha could mentally attest to that.

The last thing the shellycoat was expecting to hear was someone shouting at him. Well, maybe not the last thing, but he wasn’t exactly expecting to hear a voice calling after him so early into his little city adventure. The thoroughly sodden youth turned to face the direction of the voice, only to see someone chasing after him. His eyes widened a bit, though he stayed still. If this person truly wanted to harm him, he’d wait until they were close enough for a few tricks to come out of his sopping wet sleeves.
Relief was plain to see on his face when the woman was finally within distance that he could hear her properly. Reaching up to mop some of his soaked blond curls from his eyes, he canted his head to the side, watching her carefully. There was something decidedly off about her, but he couldn’t be bothered to investigate further. A toothy grin split his lips, laughter spilling free at her request.
“I dunno if ye can keep up,” he teased, before he leapt into a puddle next to her, giving her a quick splash before he was off, investigating a slightly deeper puddle a few feet away. “You’re welcome to try!”
Bailey didn’t know a thing about this boy, but he seemed to know how to have a good time in her book. The water washing coming from all angles from around, soaking them to their bones. She gasped at the sudden wave, kicking some up in return with a gleeful laugh. “If I splash you, can I get your name?”
She zoomed to keep up, catching a few puddles that weren’t too far off away from him to retaliate justly, slapping her foot down in in waters hovering over concrete, hoping the rain didn’t stop.
It had been a while since she felt like she could let go of whatever had been going on at home, having to deal with the people thatalways seemed to have soemthing going wrong. It wasn’t fair, but it was draining and she needed to let off some steam.
I can only well begin…

Not every love is sweet and kind Sometimes, love is dangerous Poisonous, addictive, obsessive Leaving emotional, mental and physical scars Don’t want to walk away, refuse to let go To need, no matter how much it hurts To know the same pain is returned Because some don’t want just the sweet They crave the bitter too
