the more i think about it the more i get upset with the shanghai special because imagine marinette lying about her reason for wanting to go to shanghai is wanting to connect with her chinese roots, see the excitement on her parents face for wanting to discover that culture and connect with her uncle and family and still keep up with it, all so she could just go and bump into adrien.. so.. we’re changing that.

so marinette has a qipao that she designed and made herself but it was a daughter/mother project it’s just like her shirt in the sense it’s white and has multiple pink flowers including lotus flower designs and she wears it for special occasions 🥺
