Physics
I will say it. Physics is hard as hell. There's all the formula memorization of course but also the perpetual desperate attempts to not only rectify but to derive seemingly made up formulas to problems that do not seem to be feasible for people without calculators in their minds. It's forces and vectors and sines and cosines and math above all else. I'll say it again: it's hell. Yet, there is still an elegance to it. An intuitiveness and understanding that is enthralling to individuals predisposed or determined to make sense out of what else is stuff from the back side of a bull. Unscrambling all the variables and numbers and operations leads to a knowledge of the world that is wholly unobtainable by participating in other disciplines. Yes, physics is hard as hell, but one can either be reborn from the fire or burned by it.
