We recently did a Maths test, just so the teacher can see how we`re going. I bombed out in gradient lines, graphing, coefficient, etc. One question asked me to comment on the form of a gradient line. As I didn`t know the answer, had no ideas on what it could be; I decided to be ridiculous with my answer and put down for the hell of it: "the gradient line is yummy, with a sweet scent of lemon, topped with a chocolate finish." He gave my test back and asked me to see him at lunchtime at his desk in the staff room. I went and he got angry at me. He told me how to do all the questions, but in an "angry but keeping cool" type way. I understood it all, thank god. But he pointed to that gradient question and said, "why did you write this?!" I said, "well any answer I would have put down would have been wrong anyway..........." "No answer would have been better than this." "I thought it was kind of funny though... [in a ridiculous kind of way]" "It`s not funny at all! Never write that again! I saw this and it upset me! Make sure you don`t write that on your exam because you don`t want to make the examiners angry." "I don`t see how it`s that bad though.. but I`m sorry for writing it. I won`t again." "Yeah, ok." ? I don`t understand?? He had such an angry reaction over it. No teacher would react like this to that...
