Do not believe other bloggers when they say to ignore the barcodes and that barcodes don’t have RFID tags. A lot of the new tags do have them and they will set off alarms.
Security Tips
Most girls who were doxed failed to listen to precautions set by former lifters. I’m just here to reiterate the important points for you to stay as safe as possible. I know sometimes this community feels small and contained but this is a public forum. Keep your guard up at all times.
1. Use a VPN. Feel free to ask me more about this, or do some google searches on your own. The information is out there and if you’re serious about positing illegal activity on the internet invest some time in protecting yourself.
2. Remove all exif data from images. I posted a how-to here…not long before the lolcow.farm dox happened.
3. Make a separate lifting blog, do not create a secondary account from your primary blog.
- Create a throw away email to register with
- Use an alias that does’t tie to you
- Don’t use images or the username from your blog on other websites (background images, avatars, anything)
4. Do not post revealing information. Be vague about your age and location. If you’re lifting from a regional store, consider not posting the store name in hauls. NEVER post selfies or identifying information like tattoos.
5. I got this tip a week into joining the community and it turned out to be pretty great. I forget who sent it to me, but thank you! DO NOT post images of items you are boosting! Boosting is another illegal offense in and of itself. People can be found through their poshmark, mercari, and ebay accounts.
6. Don’t fucking tag things. I have never posted a tag on a post in my life and I have plenty of followers. But guess what? I’m also a lot harder to find. I have never gotten anon hate because I don’t show up in searches.
If you’re going to be stupid, you better be tough.
I hate to say it, and I have a lot of respect for many of the targets here, but yeah most of this could have been relatively easily avoided. During this and the whole reddit fiasco nobody has so far been able to get any of my personal info.
my tips: Use a username and email for this site that are completely unique to this account. Use a proxy when not on mobile. Don’t link any accounts (ig, kik, pm, mercari, etc) to this one. Avoid giving them out if at all possible. Trust no one with your personal info. I know for a fact that one or more of my followers reports back to reddit (hi asshole!) but I have no idea if they are disguised as a lifting blog or not. Be aware of what stores are in your area. I saw some people’s locations narrowed down by where stores were located in relation to others. (For example, if you live in the only city that has both a Lululemon and a Uniqlo, then someone could determine your area with just one haul.)
If you’re not sure if you’re safe, try to dox yourself. If you see another lifter post something risky, let them know. Let’s look out for each other.

catliftpurr's guide 2: being a sneaky lil liftin' novice
Somebody asked me how to start lifting and general tips/advice/etc. So here u guys go i hope it is helpful ꒰◍•̤ु௰•̤ु꒱
Don’t look suspicious or shady, act and dress like you’re actually be shopping. Dress nicely in a cute outfit that won’t bring much attention to you and do your makeup and hair well. Wear a natural looking wig if you have it!
Look for cameras with your EYES. Do not move your head unless you’re pretending to look at a display that’s up high.
ALWAYS be cautious and aware of everything. Always be listening and watching for LP AND customers. I can’t stress enough how important hearing is to detect footsteps, a bag shuffling, carts, or somebody talking that is nearby and can soon catch you that is blocked out of view. Seriously it saved me from a customer once who could’ve been a snitch.
Make sure the shelves don’t have holes or anything that can be peeked through! As a kid I was fascinated with “spying” on people through the holes in shelves(lol i was into being a sneaky lil shit for some reason and pretending i was a spy or thief(and here we are)) so I wouldn’t be surprised with LP doing that.
Check for security tags/stickers! I mean EVERYWHERE. Hold every tag, even the washing instructions, up to light to make sure there’s nothing embedded into it. You’ll know it when you see it. I like to rip every paper tag anyway to disrupt a possible signal just incase since you can never be too careful. Check the seams, everything.
Be courteous and polite, but don’t overdo it! People will remember rude customers and overly nice ones. Just be casual, only say what is needed.
If you think somebody is following you, or you’ve been caught, or if you just get a really bad feeling, ditch everything and walk out with nothing. We are doing ILLEGAL stuff and it’s better to just go home with nothing than go to prison with nothing but a fine and shoplifting on your record.
Research stores before you go! Know what you’re getting into. Do not try to take on anything you have even the slightest of doubts about. Know what their LP is like, what is usually tagged, how busy they can get, etc. etc. Remember though that not every single store is the same and you can just get either lucky or unlucky with yours.
Blindspots! Make sure you are completely out of the cameras view to conceal. But try NOT have only one blind spot. People will get suspicious if you keep going to the same spot without taking anything from it. Also don’t walk directly to it. Make your way throughout the store, like you’re really shopping. If you do go to the same blindspot twice, grab something from it you don’t intend on buying and have it visible that it’s in your basket/cart. (i prefer always using baskets)
If you go to a mall, have some shopping bags with a couple of your own shirts ready. Don’t just walk in with them ofc, keep em in your bag, go straight to bathroom, then pull them out in the stall. Stores are very less suspicious of people who seemingly already purchased from multiple stores.
Check what the dressing room attendants are like BEFORE you get stuff you’re stealing. What I mean is, don’t double hang or hide a lot of stuff in your pile first thing because if they take your stuff from you and count and see you were trying to sneak stuff, you probably should just ditch the store because now they’re probably onto you and you wasted a store.
^ Remember each attendant is different! Some may be good with counting and always do it, some just take your word for it and let you go in without ever counting.
Don’t get cocky, don’t get sloppy! After awhile, people get over-confident and start to forget how illegal what they’re doing is and how to be careful.
These are stores I’ve been to that are easy FOR ME. These may be different for your area. I live in a le classy rich white neighborhood so honestly the only crime that goes on here is speeding and bored high school/college kids smoking weed and doing psychedelics when they get the rare opportunity. Therefore everything is laid back for the most part.
Walmart. Little to no LP. I’ve been going to my local Walmart my whole life too though, so the people there know who I am and trust me, especially when I go with my mami. I’ve heard that I just may have gotten lucky though with this and most walmarts have a good LP. Also they won’t prosecute if you take under $25 so definitely do this store as your first to test out your lifting.
Michael’s. Hardly any cameras, super easy to find multiple blind spots, no LP that I noticed.
Target. Lazy/overly casual employees. The lady didn’t even glance at my stuff when I asked “hey do I need a number?” to enter the dressing room. Nor did she ask how much I had. And I asked one employee where something was(i actually intended on purchasing it) and he just seemed really tired and bored of working and didn’t care lol. Again I heard I think I may have just gotten lucky with this and Target is usually on point(geddit).
Bath and bodyworks! If you go at the end of the day, like in the last half hour before closing, all the employees are tired and packing everything up and too busy to offer to help you so their backs are always turned and you literally just drop whatever you want into your bag. No cameras.
Victoria’s Secret. No panties are tagged. Dressing room lady doesn’t count. I just tightly fold all the panties i want and clutch them all in my fist and put a pair of pants or smth over it so it can’t be seen what I’m holding. I saw somebody else just uses a VS shopping bag and puts what they’re “buying” into there and the attendant still doesn’t check.
Aaand I think that’s it for a beginner post! If I remember anything or if anybody suggests anything I’ll add an “*edited” or smth.

Guide to shoplifting
I’ve gotten caught twice and I’ve done it once in the past 6 months since I’ve been caught. So I’m going to just give you all the best tips and things I should of done. Please read this, it’s helpful.
I do not recommend stealing from Macys, this is where I got caught. It’s not even worth stealing from there unless you have a metal tag detacher. They know how to spot people, and will detain you even if they didn’t see you physically put the stuff in your bag. Friends and I got caught for taking tags off items and putting them under the dressing room divider. I probably could of got out of it if I were to say something like “you never saw me put anything in my bag”, “you have no proof”. I was just so in shock of what happened that words couldn’t come out of my mouth.
Bring a bag with, one that isn’t big and doesn’t look empty when you walk into the store and full when you walk out. It’s not worth it at all, you lived without the things you’re stealing. It’s not mandatory to have all the items now. DO NOT be greedy. Take what you truly want, do not take it just to impress your friends. Think if you are actually going to use it, if you aren’t put it back. Everything I stole when I got caught wasn’t for me it was just to show off to my friends!
Leave the tags on if they are paper, if you leave any evidence in the dressing room they are going to stop you. You probably do have a right to leave if you say something, but I’m pretty sure you don’t have any laws memorized in your head and you will be to scared to say anything. This goes for packaging as well.
If you have a security hook detacher do not put it in the same place as your stole items, put it in your bra or underwear. You will get in sooooo much more trouble if this is found. You can’t lie to them and say you had no intention of stealing.
Don’t look at the cameras, and go alone. Listen to music if it helps, but if it makes you so nervous you need to look up at the cameras every minute then don’t even shoplift. The security people focus on young teens, but care more if they are in a group.
Take more to the dressing room then what you want to steal. I always tried to remember to bring a small coat that isn’t mine to put the tags in. Also you can’t walk out with everything you took in.
If you need to take the tags off, bring tape or hide them under the store’s dressing room paintings. You can take the tags off and tape them under the chair in the dressing room or put them behind the paintings.
Bring money, you can say you had the intention of paying it.
Where I live the first time I got caught I had to pay a store fee, that was it. The second time I had to go to a ten hour class. If I get caught again I for sure will have to go to court and it will be on my record.
If you get caught, do not run. Instead apologize. Be semi honest You probably won’t get away, and you’ll just end up getting in more trouble. When I took that class the instructor said you’re all here because none of you apologized for your actions. The people who caught you are doing their jobs and know excuses. They aren’t all dumb. Confess to what you stole, tell them you had no intentions on doing it and it was your first time because you have seen it on your show and wanted to feel the rush.
Favorite places I shoplifted,
Sephora in Jcpenney, Target, Kohls, Nordstrom, Loft, Bath and Body Works, Pacsun, Barnes and Noble, Victoria Secret (underwear), H&M (accessories). These stores never used security on the things I wanted to steal (besides Nordstrom).
Favorite places with the hook detacher (can be bought from geekbuying or aliexpress),
Hollister, Express, Posh Love (Can’t think of any others).
NORDSTORM/HIGHER END DEPARTMENT STORES, Once I stole a jacket from Nordstrom and you should really do this with all clothes is check where there is the washing instructions tags, sometimes stores put their security tags there. I looked around and from a multicolored type sticker on the jacket! Also a tip for stealing jackets is to stuff it in the jacket you bring to the store since it’s winter!
When I got caught for the first time they brought me to the camera room, and I saw how they could room in and rotate all of the cameras. They had multiple cameras for all the areas of the store. This was Kohls. I just got caught here because I was being stupid and doing it in the open since I was cocky. I shoplifted from Kohls multiple times after in the dressing room and never got caught.
If you purchase something after concealing what you want to steal I’m pretty sure you’re in the clear of suspicion.
sorry i haven’t been really active i’ve been on a break from lifting i just ordered a magnet so i’m gonna get back in business as soon as it arrives!!!
