Lance is a waitress (alongside Hunk, and Romelle) at Altea’s, a highway diner owned by Coran and managed by Allura. It was passed down from Alfor. Lance works there as he (alongside most employees there) were either dropouts or ex-criminals, and had to make a living somehow.

Keith is part of a biker gang called the Marmora (alongside Shiro, Pidge, Matt, and other blade members) which is run by Kolivan.

Keith is a member of the biker gang for similar reasons, he is an ex-convict, and was homeless for a period of time as a teenager before Shiro took him in and gave him not only a home, but a place on the team. They deal with a rival gang, the Galra (composed of Lotor, Acxa, Ezor, Narti, Zethrid, etc).

They mostly make money from selling illicit substances, however Keith is looking for a way out of the gang as it’s something he wants to move on from.

Keith visits Altea’s often. The first time he went was a one-off trip, until he saw Lance working there, and made it a point to come over at least weekly. Lance is wary of Keith due to his affiliation with the gang, but slowly warms up to him against Hunk’s warnings.

I lost 15 kg this month. My weight is now 42 kg. I don’t know what next month will bring.

I gave the campaign to my younger sister — not just in case I don’t survive, but so she might have a chance to save whoever’s left in our family.

I will never forget the horror I saw yesterday. Over 500,000 people trapped in a small area for aid that wasn’t enough for even 1%.

What we see here… you don’t see on the news. It’s hell.

Then, the shooting began. I’ll never forget the man I met on the road — we waited together since dawn. He was shot in the head in front of me… and people trampled over him. I don’t know if he’s alive or dead. I stood there helpless.

I didn’t tell my mother I was going — but I couldn’t watch them starving anymore. No flour for 3 months. No food for 2 days. I came back empty-handed… broken… in shock.

But my family is still here… starving, homeless, forgotten.
