i saw this girl at the skatepark today and she looked like she was a beginner. she was wearing cowboy boots. i wanted to ask her what size shoe she wore so i could give her an extra pair of vans i had in my car, but she left really quickly after i arrived at the park. i was so friendly to her and said hi and complimented her board. i hope she goes back to the skatepark and i hope i didn’t scare her away! i know as a beginner (i’ve only been skating for 1 year) seeing another girl at the skatepark inspired me so much. this one girl in particular was so good and had so much style. i tried to befriend her because i just wanted to have fun and skate with another girl but she stopped coming to the park and would blatantly ignore me when i tried messaging her on social media. sometimes people are nice and sometimes they aren’t. i’ll always give everyone a chance though. and if any girl is reading this and wants to skateboard or do anything really that you’re nervous about...go do it! i promise it will make you feel amazing once you get out of your comfort zone.
