Vrilo turned when she heard something behind her. Seeing the other blonde she raised an eyebrow. “Can I help you?” She asked.

“I heard you were the best bounty in time,” she stepped from beneath the looming shadows. “I wanted to see her for myself.”

"The best in time?" Vrilo asked with a curious raised eyebrow. "You have to have me mistaken for someone else. Cause I do a fairly good job, had people better than me." She explained. "You seem to know me, but I have no clue who you are." She said.

“I’ve not had a good track record with people.” Vrilo said as she looked at Lena. “However, that doesn’t mean I’m not willing to try to have some friends.” She commented. Running a hand through her hair she took a moment to think. “You shall be my first friend.” Vrilo said confidently.

“Neither do I.” Lena admitted with a small shrug. She let out a laugh at Linda’s self-assured statement, leaning against the bag as she couldn’t help but shoot the other woman a small smile. “You’re awfully quick to decide that. You could decide you don’t like me.” She pointed out.

"You could of told me to fuck off the moment I started talking to you." Vrilo said. "I might decide down the line I don't like you, but you're the first person that has at least listened to me and not judged me fully over my career choice." She commented. "Plus I feel you have a certain understanding of me and that helps." She said.

Vrilo had heard the muttered words, and they were spot on. People couldn’t disappoint her if she never let them get close. “Who knows.” She said with a smile. “Maybe they will thank me, or maybe they will tell me to fuck off.” She commented with a shrug.

“They’re not the type to do that.” Lena denied with a small shake of her head. The people she had met over the last three years… they had shown her more kindness than she had known in all her time with the Luthors. It had been disorienting at first - sometimes still, she didn’t always trust it. But she was grateful for it. "No friends is how I operated for a long time, but take it from someone who knows… it gets lonely. You could stand to have a handful every now and then.” She muttered. A large circle of people, statistically, meant the odds of betrayal were greater. With a small number, it was easier to keep it all in check.

“See you’re a natural.” Vrilo said as she watched Lena throw a few punches. A soft chuckle escaped her at the question. Stepping away to give Lena some personal space she crossed her arms with a slight smile. “Not usually.” She said.

Taking a moment to think, she watched Lena. “Usually, I look out for my own ass, and if feathers get ruffled I move on. No friends makes it easy to keep an eye out for a dagger coming for your back.” She explained. “However one look at you, and I could tell you have people that look out and probably look up to you.” She continued.

“I figured, you might want to help them at some point. So free lesson on fighting.” Vrilo said. Deep down, locked away was a yearning for friends. To not have to constantly change towns. Though she would never vocalize that yearning.

Lena let out a laugh at the praise, shaking her head. “I’d hardly say I’m a natural.” She denied, though her smile remained a little brighter after it. She quirked an eyebrow as Linda denied this being a common occurrence for her, waiting for her to elaborate.

The explanation she gave sounded all too familiar to Lena, of how she had once thought, not all that long ago. “If you don’t let people in, you’re never disappointed when they turn out to be trying to get close under false pretenses.” She muttered in understanding. It made her curious what had happened to Linda to make her adopt the same coping mechanism Lena once had, but she knew better than to pry.

“I…” She stuttered a little awkwardly over the sincerity behind Linda’s words, before nodding a little. “I suppose I do, yes.” She muttered, allowing herself a small smile at the thought of the very few friends she had allowed close to her. “Thank you. I’ll make sure they know who to thank when I end up an expert.” She joked.

Vrilo moved closer to Lena, gently taking her wrists she positioned them to where she thought would be better for Lena. Her touch was light and slightly playful as she positioned the other woman. “You can be faster than whoever threatens you.” She said.

Once she had Lena into position, she placed her hands on her shoulders. “This position should allow you to stay light on your feet while still being able to deliver one hell of a punch.” She said. “A smaller foot stance allows you to do quick turns.” Vrilo said.

Vrilo had taken up a similar stance so she could tap Lena’s feet into moving. She had held onto Lena so she wouldn’t fall over as she moved her. “See what I’m getting at?” She asked.

Lena blinked a little surprised at just how hands on Linda got, expecting her to shift her slightly but not to maneuver her into position quite so efficiently. “I see what you’re getting at.” She agreed with a small nod, focussing on the punching bag in front of her with a determined look to avoid whatever expression might be on the other woman’s face while the heat of her hands rested against Lena’s hips. It had been a long time since she had been flirted with - she couldn’t even really tell if that was what was happening. When in doubt, better to just ignore it. Not like she intended to act on it if it were the case.

“But no one’s ever claimed I’m fast - you really don’t want to see me try to run.” She chuckled before testing out a quick jab against the punching bag. Surprisingly, at least to her, the change in position did make it easier to punch and retract her arm faster and easier. She threw a few more punches in, turning to raise an eyebrow at Linda over her shoulder. “You do this a lot? Bounty hunter by night, by day… impromptu personal trainer?” She questioned jokingly.

“I mean what’s the point of having powers if I can’t have fun with them?” She asked. “Also how the hell do you think I slipped away from police with a bounty and about 500 dollars from the bank?” Vrilo asked. “I mean this place is all about criminals being free to be themselves.” She added.

Letting the bottle phase back into existence, Vrilo took a sip from it. “Quiet honestly I’m not here to take anyone in, the few that have bounties on their heads in this place aren’t worth it.” She commented. “Plus I’m not exactly buddy buddy with cops, and the heroes that littler the place.” She added sipping from her drink.

“Much like most people in this place, I look out for myself first. I do what what I want and if that steps on a heroes toes cause they are trying to do the Noble thing than they can get bent.” Vrilo said.

If the other woman was trying to impress Lisa, she was failing miserably. Sure, once upon a time Lisa would have found her fascinating and maybe even consider using her in a plan. But in the last few months Lisa found herself disenchanted by that life. Her one time harsh edges were going soft, like she was being tamed somehow. Well no, not somehow. Lisa knew exactly how.

“This place is about the fries, mainly.” Lisa replied rather bluntly. She didn’t want to take the other woman for her word but the other woman seemed insistent. Lisa didn’t care. She didn’t trust her and that was that.

“You sound very similar to several people I used to run with.” Lisa observed out loud before taking another sip of her cocktail. She didn’t elaborate on who and had no plans to either. Her past was already murky enough without dragging it all up again.

Finishing her drink, Vrilo looked at Lisa. "Well then, I guess I've over stayed my welcome." She said. Unlike when she was talking with Kara and having fun pushing that blonde's buttons, Vrilo was in the heart of a criminal bar. She was more likely to get stabbed if she pushed the wrong button.

Digging out some cash, she placed it on the bar to pay for her drink. "Maybe I'll see you around." She said. "Or not. Who knows." She added with a shrug.

Getting up from her seat, Vrilo started to head for the door. Pausing for a moment to look at her phone, she stepped through the front door and vanished. She had used her powers to cloak herself.

“Just here to drink.” She commented as she sipped on her drink. Vrilo had bounties she could go after, but they were barely worth the paper their mugs were printed on. “You can rest assured that I am simply here between gigs.” She said as she looked over. “Besides I hear this place doesn’t care if someone displays powers.” She said as she made her glass vanish from sight, but there was still a small way to tell the glass was sitting there.

“Right.” Lisa replied, not quite believing her. When you spent your whole life with family members in and out of jail and wanted for one thing or another, the distrust of cops, bounty hunters and the like was easily explained. The whole ‘rest assured’ part did nothing to convince Lisa otherwise.

‘Oh great, another meta,’ Lisa’s mind supplied the commentary, honestly starting to feel like maybe she was the only one in Central City left without some kind of super power. “Why do you need to show off your powers if you are just here to drink?” Lisa queried, Saints & Sinners was just a dive bar criminals hung out in - yes, some patrons were metas but the main objective was to drink, have a feed, work on schemes and hustle at the pool tables.

“Guy like that deserves to be pinched with his bone headed plan.” Vrilo said. Looking over she thought about the question for a second. “Kind of. I interrupted a bank heist once.” She commented. “They were gonna get caught anyway. Dumbass tripped a silent alarm.” She explained.

“Plus one of them was one of my bounties I was after. Pretty big price on his head, more if I captured him alive. Which I did, sealed his three buddies in the vault knocked him out and walked right past the police.” She commented with a smirk. “Might of also stolen a small bit of cash on my way out of the vault.” She added with a wink.

Lisa listened to the story, her face showing interest while internally she was judging whether this woman was worth knowing. Her inner trust issues were sending off alarm bells but she couldn’t figure out why until the other woman dropped the word bounties. Bounty hunters weren’t uncommon patrons in Saints & Sinners but it always put Lisa on edge running into one. She got the same feeling around cops too even when she had done nothing wrong.

“Are you after someone now?” Lisa had to be blunt and ask. If the bounty hunter was after someone she knew, Lisa felt it her duty to find out and warn them. That is, if the bounty hunter was after one of her friends - not that Lisa had many of those.

“No I’m not gonna gloat and I’m not gonna kick your ass.” Vrilo said as she walked closer to Lena. “If you plan on throwing punches, you’ll need to lean into your skills.” She said. “For me I can be a rough tough fighter, but for you, you need to pinpoint your hits.” She explained.

“Need to throw someone off quick? Punch their throat. That staggers and stuns them.” Vrilo said. “May I?” She gestured toward Lena to help move her body.

“You’re… not?” Lena asked, seeming to be genuinely confused for a moment before she managed to school her expression. She was used to failure being countered with the necessity to improve through gruelling practice, and the best way she had been taught to better herself was through competition. “Sure.” She muttered after a moment at Linda’s offer to help position her properly for the strike.

Smiling at her, Vrilo took a sip of her drink. "Think you've been hitting the bottle a little hard. You already introduced yourself." She said with a smirk. "Still it is good to meet you Tara. So tell me, what do for fun?" She asked patting Tara on the back.

“Being unskilled shouldn’t have judgement thrown.” Vrilo said. “A Craftsman doesn’t perfect their art in a day, a fighter can not be expected to know how to throw a perfect punch after two days.” She explained.

“I have had plenty of time to learn my fighting style. Even then, there are times where I can mess things you because I throw the wrong attack.” She continued. “Take up a stance.” Vrilo said as she looked at Lena.

“You and my mother would get along terribly with that mindset.” Lena muttered under her breath, passing it off as a joke with a small chuckle. “I don’t disagree, though.”

She rose an eyebrow at the command, eyeing the other woman up and down for a moment before letting out a small laugh. “Fine. Just don’t gloat too much when you kick my ass, please.” She requested jokingly as she settled into her stance.

“Nice handshake.” Linda said with a smile, though she wouldn’t admit that it did actually hurt a bit. “So Kara, tell me about this bad day of yours. How can old Linda help you feel better?” She asked as she leaned against the table with a soft smile.

“Don’t refer to yourself as old Linda,” she mumbled. Kara didn’t know the woman’s intentions on this planet. Acting brash wouldn’t reveal those motives; she just couldn’t help the barbed feeling. “I got into a fight with a close friend…former friend. I don’t think anything’s gonna make it suck any less–but what about you? I usually like to get some basic information on people before I start spouting on about my problems.”

"Friends are never easy. Giving up on a person is pretty easy." Vrilo said. Taking a sip of her drink, she looked at Kara. "As a woman with zero friends, I can't really give advice on that. However if they truely are your friend. Don't give up on them." She said. It as a little Noble what her words were, even if she never had anyone willing to stand by her.

"Well what do you want to know about me?" She asked. Leaning back in her seat, she raised an eyebrow at Kara. "I'm happy to play twenty questions." Vrilo said as she took a sip of her drink.

“Beat it loser. Your plan has more holes than SpongeBob, and he is porous as porous can be.” Vrilo said as she took at the bar. “Besides, you would sooner trip on your shoe laces than be able to rob a bank.” She commented as she looked at the guy’s shoes.

“Give me something strong. Don’t care what it is.” Vrilo said. Once she had her drink and the guy had left grumbling about something, she smiled at Lisa. “Pretty sure he is gonna get himself caught.” She said. “Not like he had a solid plan anyway.” She added before sipping her drink.

The brash attitude that came from the interruption wasn’t really expected nor necessary. But as over the top and forceful as it was, it was effective in moving the guy along. Shame the guy didn’t fight back, Lisa felt she could use the entertainment of a good bar fight.

“No great loss if he does.” Lisa replied with a shrug, her eyes drifting toward the woman who muscled her way into her company. “You seem to know your stuff about rolling banks. Speak from experience?”

Lisa sat at the bar at Saints & Sinners - Central City’s notorious ‘villain bar’ - pretending to take interest in the low life talking to her about heists he planned to pull and how he was “gonna make it rich and move to Aruba". She had gone there to chat to few not exactly nice guys about the kidnapped cop case Velocity wanted info on but was coming up with nothing.

“Oh wow. That sounds absolutely like it’ll work.” Lisa replied, her voice laced with sarcasm - not that the would-be crook could tell. Her eyes darted around the room as she sipped on her cocktail, looking for a out.

Vrilo stopped hitting the punching bag while looking at Lena. “You sound like you’re talking from experience.” She admitted. Her brow was a bit furrowed, but not out of anger. “Granted it is not my place to judge.” She said.

Lena met the other woman’s curious gaze with a blank expression, giving a small shrug in response. “No evil father.” She muttered dismissively. “Just… think it’s admirable.” She sighed. Granted in the Star Wars universe most people didn’t know Leia was related to one of the worst villains it had ever known - probably made things easier. “Reserve judgement for the fact I can’t throw punches like you can.”

Cracking a smile at her words, Vrilo punched the bag a bit. “Fair, but have you seen the cartoon show? Sabine is far cooler.” She commented. “Though Leia is also a good choice, but I think that just shows where we see ourselves in that kind of world. For me not to far off my real job with Fett, and a bit of a rebel with Sabine. You clearly like the badass need no man Princess.” She joked.

“I haven’t.” Lena admitted. TV shows tended to pass her by when she got too busy to try and keep up with them. “Maybe I have a type, sue me.” She replied jokingly as Linda called her out, rolling her eyes a little. “I also liked that she was a strong leader, that she cared about people. And she wasn’t defined by her evil father - she surpassed his legacy and made her own.”
