Congratulations!!
Thank you!! :)
Congratulations, and Merry Christmas
Ugh⦠someone make me write. My brain is in full rebellion mode. I have two different things I need to be working on tonight :(
LOL. I hope it gets better.
If youāre a fan of Ryan Eggold, and or, #TomKeen, you will love this group. Please, come and check it out.
Thanks, @lizbenthall!
Thank you for reposting this. I am a huge fan of, #RyanEggold aka, #TomKeen. The creator of the group that I advertised, along with it's members, are trying to show the writers of The Blacklist, just how much Tom's character is valued, and loved.

My entire family got into a debate about who Red is to Lizzie at the table, btw. Iām proud.
Pretty sure Iām the only one in my family that watches Blacklist, sadly.Ā
I am awesome the only person in my family who watches #TheBlacklist.
If they write Liz pregnant on the show, my neighborsā gnomes need to watch out.

Term Grades Posted....
So I have taken all honors courses this year except one, on top of my on going health issues and absence from school I managed to finish the term. I have been super anxious all month to find these out but I managed to make it out with an A average which is SUPER exciting!! :D You all should know that I am that type of person who will get an 80 and freak out that I wonāt get into college (that actually just happened last night).Ā
So yeahā¦I am really happy my grades turned out to be better than I expected! Yay!
Congrats!!!!!Ā
Congrats
Name a fandom you know I know and Iāll tell you
1. The first character I first fell in love with 2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now 3. The character everyone else loves that I donāt 4. The character I love that everyone else hates 5. The character I used to love but donāt any longer 6. The character I would totally smooch 7. The character Iād want to be like 8. The character Iād slap 9. A pairing that I love 10. A pairing that I despise
Tom, and Liz
The Makings of A Monster
I saw a post in the Tom Keen tag, that actually seemed like it would be a good point to debate. The point this individual made was that Tom Keen is worse than Red because he has killed innocents and Red has not. I would agree that judging from the kills we have seen Redās kills are more righteous than Jacobās. The Harbor Master definitely counts as an innocent, and Asher was pretty innocent (not totally, he was after all trying to kill Jacob at the time).Ā
The worst of Redās kills was the Chinese Tech (1x03), who really was just a patriot geek helping his country when you think about it. Still thatās less bad than Jacobās kills. On the other hand both of Jacobās kills, were to protect Liz. Red is quite committed to keeping Liz safe. He would have left that undercover cop to die in 3x03 in order to get Liz away safely. So the question:
Do people think Red would kill an innocent person to save Liz?
Yes, in a heartbeat.
Yes, Absolutely
You know what I forgot his already hasā¦Sam. Lizās father, who he smothered with a pillow. Wow my memory needs work. But hey at least Iām not the only one. I canāt tell you how many Anti-Tom/Jacob post Iāve read where people have stated how Red has never hurt Liz.Ā
I love Tom's character, and the first thing that came to my mind as well, was that he never killed Liz's father. That was just selfish on Reds behalf. Red is for older than Tom, thusfore, I am positive that he has had far more time, too kill more people. I could go on for a long time, but it is getting late. I am team Tom all the way.
ā„ HD is your best friend ā„ hope you'll enjoy it ;) fandom: the blacklist couple: tom keen/jacob phelps & elizabeth keen/masha rostova song: adele - hello col...
So, I made a Keen2 video, I hope you like it ;)
I loved this video. Great job!!! Thank you for sharing this with us.
I am so worried for The Blacklist! Apparently the ratings are tanking. Do we need to start planning on this season being the last?
The ratings have been sinking. Because of Tom. If theyād solve this problem then the ratings would go up again. I really hope that this isnāt the last season. I donāt think I could handle that. Iām obsessed with this show.

Difference Between Red And Tom...
Tom āKeenā stabs a knife into an innocent manās heart to get information to āsaveā Liz.
Meanwhile, Red BUYS the (seemingly large and expensive) building next to the bank where the safe that he needs is kept, turns said building into a fricken FIVE STAR RESTAURANT, and hands said restaurant over to the building inspectorās daughter/niece who is a HORRIBLE cook and then gives all the credit to her dad/uncle.
So just to reiterate, Tom killed a(nother) innocent person and made a(nother) woman a widow, while Red instead makes a young womanās life long dream come true and takes no credit for it.
BOTH got information⦠Except the slight difference being Tom just kills innocent people while Red still manages to do good.
This reminds me of S2 where T/J kills an innocent man to get off the boat (allegedly) keep Liz out of jail while Redās solution to the same problem is to offer to secure a new heart for Alekoās dying brother + pay for the hospital care. Hmmmmmā¦.. yeah, you can barely tell these two characters apartā¦
Oh come on, that canāt possibly be your argument. There are many things to say against Tom, even when comparing him to Red, but this really canāt be one of them. How many innocents has Red killed over the course of the show? And then thereās theĀ ācriminalsā that definitely didnāt deserve to die. The man working for Wujing. The whole revenge murder spree in Good Samaritan. Hell, he was dropping men off of buildings last week (and that manās MO was killing heinous criminals on the run, so you can make up your own mind if he deserved what he got).
Red said in the beginning,Ā āI believe I will always do whatever I feel I have to do to keep you alive.ā That IS what theyāre both doing. And Red has so many more resources, money and people, to help him achieve that than Tom. Just imagine what Red was doing while he was building his network. Heās told enough stories about killing people for us to fill in the blanks. Theyāre both ruthless killers, thereās not much differentiation here.
My argument isnāt that Red is not a killer or canāt be ruthless. He is and he can, weāve seen it. I responded to a specific example with another specific example and I believe both reflect a fundamental difference between how these two killers approach killing as a problem solving tool, which in turn reflects how much they value human life in general. To me thisĀ āmoral contextā is important and does make a difference.
Red often thinks his way out or backs out of situations to minimize casualty (see the Belgrade story from Braxton) while Tom mostly just kills w/o considering alternatives or, you know, other people. Red differentiates btw āgood guysā and ābad guysā (the latter are fair game), Tom doesnāt. Killing Aleko would have been the cheapest/safest/surest way to ensure he kept his mouth shut, yet Red opted for trusting this police snitch, and instead of taking a life he offered to save one to help Liz. Tom was in a similar situation but he went ahead, snapped Amesā neck (despite Amesā pleading & Lizās clear protest), and then he just sat there smirking and taunting Liz. I cannot imagine Red ever doing something like that tbh, treating the murder of an innocent person as a joke, and then pushing the blame on someone else.
And Tom didnāt do this to save Liz btw. He did it to force her to let him go. He deliberately put a murder on her conscience with ease and then walked away (cf. Red willingly surrendering at the end of S1 & being ready to assume all the blame and disappear in some dark hole for life). Later Tom couldnāt even recall Amesā name and he sure as hell didnāt give a damn about how this would affect the manās family (cf. e.g. Red assuring Newton, the guy whose betrayal almost got him killed, that his family would be looked after). It was essentially Redās money that got transferred to Amesā daughter (since Liz sold the apartment she didnāt even accept) while Tom bought himself a new car and a boat and was completely at peace w/ what happened.
I do not believe āthereās not much differentiation here.ā Both are killers, sure, but only one thinks killing is an acceptable solution to every problem he encounters, so he doesnāt even bother looking for other options bc if things get rough, heāll just murder his way out of the situation, takes what he wants, and if someone gets caught in the crossfire, well too bad. His latest great plan of using Asher as a patsy reeked of this sentiment too.
āRed has so many more resources, money and people, to help him achieve that than Tom.ā
So if I can only afford a pocket knife itās ok for me to handle problems by stabbing people instead of, say, bribing them?
āHow many innocents has Red killed over the course of the show?ā
Well how many actual innocents has he killed? (other than Sam but Iām pretty sure that falls into the friend-assisted suicide category)
āJust imagine what Red was doing while he was building his network.ā
Since we donāt have actual facts about this period, Iād refrain from using it as an argument. But if the latest comic book is any indication (Iāve only seen snippets), younger Red did have some serious reservations about murdering people as a means to an end. Heās no saint by any stretch of the imagination, but he has a conscience. Tom? Not really.
At the end of the day, Tomās desire to ārescueā Liz is his Hail Mary play in hopes of getting Liz back. Red wants to set Liz (and himself) free from the Cabal. What happens after that should be Lizās choice. Why a grown woman needs three diffrent men to try to ārescueā her, I leave as a topic for a separate post?
^^^^all of the above but most of all
āRed often thinks his way out or backs out of situations to minimize casualty (see the Belgrade story from Braxton) while Tom mostly just kills w/o considering alternatives or, you know, other people. Red differentiates btw āgood guysā and ābad guysā (the latter are fair game), Tom doesnāt.ā
THIS ^ Thats what is different about Red and Tom. And it matters.
Money is the difference between Red, and Tom, in this case. You all seem to forgot that "Red, the sometimes ruthless killer", was the one who put Tom in Liz's life with to begin with. They never would have fallen for each other in the first place if it hadn't of been for good old Red. I have NEVER, EVER, seen Red shed a tear, because he had to kill someone.
So I was a little behind....
The roomie came home on the first commercial break so we backed it up⦠Iām a little late to this butā¦. he killed Asher. I was really hoping that they wouldnāt do that to him. Did you see his face? I mean, I get it. He chooses Liz over everything, but damn it I wanted Asher to live.Ā
It was either Asher, or Tom. I think most people would have done the same thing. It broke my heart to see him cry. I am NOT happy that they made him do that either, but I don't think there was any other way out.
Ask Tom Keen
While Jacob will be answering questions during the episode tonight and directly after it, send in any questions that you have for honesty hour now and heāll have to be 100% honest about it. If you have anything you want to know before the show, ask him now!
Go ask Jacob questions before the show comes on!
Is there any truth to the rumor, that Tom, and or Jacob, is going to be killed off the show?
