          he is always standoffish, but not ever towards betty. she seems suspicious, but jughead assures her nothing is going on. at first, he felt bad lying to her, but his GUILT has since washed away. even when betty questions the new passcode on his phone and why he’s always smiling at the device. ever the quick thinker, jughead always has an EXCUSE.

          his heart is racing as he types his next message. whatever he was talking to shirley about before now didn’t matter. he has typed and re-typed the words at least a dozen times, and on a whim, he finally presses send.

          as soon as it’s sent, he regrets it. there’s no taking it back now, though. he wants to AVOID whatever her response will be, so he shoves his phone into his pocket and turns his attention back to the television.     /     @vixxen.
