The bright lights of the stadium shone down on you. Staring down at the ice, you skate into your position at the center of the rink. Finally, you look up, coming face-to-face with him. Ilya Rozanov. Dropping your stick down, you brace yourself for the face-off that’d start the game, staring Ilya down with a determined look. He smirks but doesn’t say anything. 

You can tell he can see right through you, see that you missed him. What you couldn’t gather was whether he missed you. If he did, he didn’t let it show. It was a rare occasion that Matt Murdock woke up before you on a weekday. Your singing abruptly stopped and you sharply turned your head in the direction of the sound. 

"Who's there?" There was a shakiness in your voice but you tried your best to sound intimidating.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to startle you." Jaskier stepped out from behind the tree with his arms up to show he wasn't a threat. However you did take a step back cautiously.

Jaskier getting jealous of his singing boyfriend because Geralt likes his voice better?

You're not a bard so you aren't singing all the time like your boyfriend. Whenever you do sing it's usually just when your bored and mostly to yourself.

But Geralt has made it known multiple times that he much prefers your voice over Jaskiers. You're not sure he says that just to tease him or if he actually means it but it does get under his skin a bit.

I mean you write the man a whole song and make him famous but all he does is tell you to be quiet. But when you sing just a little bit he loves it. Talk about ungrateful.

Jaskier sometimes makes offhanded comments about it.

"He doesn't have any singing experience, you don't know what you're talking about Geralt."

The comments didn't really bother you too much because when he realizes that they may sound a bit rude he immediately apologizes to you and gives you kisses. Geralt always turns away from the pda.

Honestly Jaskier being jealous is truly amusing the banter between him and Geralt is very funny and it's cute how he tries to practice a bit more to impress him.
