Integrated consoles - courtesy of NASA. My dad's company builds test equipment for engines and as part of what they do they produce various interface units (see images at the bottom). The guy who puts the instrumentation and electronics together is always looking for bits and pieces of work, so could also be used to put an instrumentation fascia with screens and flashing lights, etc. together.

External appendages: frames, satellites, tripods, etc.

Julian and I have discussed that given various issues with procurement and considering the live context of happening across the mobile unit, the use of a 'site office' might make more sense. These can come 'vandal-proof' too.
