You can call me Stella! This is an alias, as my real name isn't super common and I want that sweet freedom of IRL people not being able to find me easily. -I'm 23-26 -Cis with she/her pronouns -Bisexual/Pansexual but mostly Lesbian -Diagnosed with multiple disorders which may or may not be accurate, including OCD, BPD, and ADHD. Also not formally diagnosed, but self diagnosed with B.E.D. -Disorders that are definitely accurate include Depression, Anxiety, PCOS

I support people doing spell work/witchcraft pretty much however they want to but my eye twitches a little when people tell others (particularly those who are new to the craft) that there’s a definite way to do spells as if it’s a cooking recipe, and that if they don’t do xyz then things won’t work or things will backfire etc

I’m a pretty lazy witch and rarely partake in anything magical as of late, but any time I really need to harness it, I follow my intuition, gather whatever materials call to me, and it works. Like literally has never failed me.

And like, again, totally fine if you love doing intricate spells, have a set routine for yourself, and it works for you! But I remember being a baby witch and thinking if I didn’t buy or make specific items and follow someone else’s spell to a T or do magic every day or every week that it wasn’t going to work. It just created a lot of pressure and deterred me from doing spells because I was worried I would mess it up.

For me, intention and intuition are everything. Fire feels like chaotic energy to me, so I don’t like using it typically. For others they regularly use candles and fire in spells! When I’m gathering/buying things for a spell, I kinda just meditate on what that thing symbolizes to me in that moment and it works. I like using scents and colors and crystals and I’m sure there’s other people who dislike using those in their work and that is more than okay!

Basically, yes, you can follow intricate spells, or very basic spells. You can follow a spell someone else wrote or you can make your own by trusting your intuition. I’ve found the most important thing is just being clear headed enough to put intention into what you’re doing and to know and trust yourself. Everything else is personal preference :)

Sorry I haven’t been very active here, I’ve been pretty depressed and quit my job over it and now I’m kinda more depressed and sad because I don’t have friends and every time I try to make friends, even online, it doesn’t seem to work out or I randomly get blocked even though I don’t do anything wrong and I’m very supportive??
